Personally I'm hoping they use the ABBA "Voyage" virtual performer technology to put 1976 Brotherhood Of Man back on stage, and resurrect Sir Terry while they're at it, but that's just me.
 
sensing a ukrainian/and british/maybe from every country competing children's choir or something like that. one of the videos supporting our bid online was a local school doing imagine with sign language so i'm wondering if they'll expand on that

Fury as Airbnb hosts cancel bookings in Liverpool during Eurovision

Airbnb hosts and hotels are cancelling pre-existing bookings in Liverpool for the weekend of the Eurovision contest on May 13. Some of the hotels have been put back online at a higher price.

not reflecting well on Liverpool at the moment, the city's tourism/promotion department needs to stand up and fight back and sort it out.

I knew Eurovision was popular, but not thousands of pounds a night popular? Never had this trouble in any of the European cities I've been to the contest in, although when it was in Dusseldorf we did stay in Cologne. Maybe they should have stuck to the capital, since it's got more than enough accomodation to cope.

There surely can't be enough people willing to pay those prices?! Surely there will just be a load of vastly overpriced rooms/properties not getting booked and prices will come back down again, although maybe not to regular event prices. Madness. I have 4 nights worth of accomodation booked for reasonable prices, so will wait and see what gets cancelled. Our backup plan is to recruit my housemate's mum to collect us 😂 assuming we get tickets to any of it!

imo cruise ship and camp site doesn't sound horrendous? making use of the waterfront and city region greenspaces seems logical if transport is easily arranged!

Actually I'm worried about Moldova's participation now. They're usually tremendous fun.

37 countries confirmed for esc 23 less songs to slog through semi final and a couple that just miss out may not this time will miss Bulgaria but glad Czech is in

Got the honour of meeting Kalush Orchestra. My company is using the signed flag & swag to do an auction for UAnimals a animal rescue I've been working with since the war started. They're going to perform from a bomb site from Kyiv live to open Eurovision! Kalush, not the animals 😉
