You’d like to hope so, but as the rest of Europe seems to despise us and the voting is political, if Adele entered we’d probably still come last

Blaming political voting never made much sense, especially when the songs we send are either very bland or very very basic with nothing impressive to show for it

I'd say that Eurovision has definitely made a move towards countries sending a lot more 'radio friendly' songs, and I'd say that Arcade was a fairly boring winner, but many countries do seem to offer something a bit more different too. Be it quirky or that it just has amazing vocals

Agreed. I don't care if we win, I just want us to send a song that's neither a cheesefest nor Radio 2 playlist fodder.
