Where to start. This woman is so freaking marinated in her own dirty bath water so often that she must have some fungi brewing. The Sylvia Plath quote is not the best for several reasons. Ugh.

As an obsessed bookworm it really bothers me when she pretends to be a reader, and I know I don't own reading but gezus, can't even explain but it drives me bonkers when she or Niomi NotsoSmart pretend to love books and bookstores.

I fracking HATE betterhelp... of course she's dumb enough to shill their tit. They pay influencers (depending on their reach) like $200 per person who signs up. They also sell your private info, they got in trouble for it so many times and had to pay big money.

Bit off topic, but I do a lot of telehealth for my mental health through my insurance - there are great platforms that work with licensed providers such as Alma and Headway, but should only be treated as billing/scheduling services, you should properly screen and make sure that the provider you select is a good fit and qualified for your needs as a licensed therapist or psychiatrist.

Betterhelp claims to platform licensed providers, but I'd be a lot more skeptical about such a platform that doesn't really work with insurance and is therefore platforming providers who are willing to meet for a much lower cost overall than what would typically be billed through insurance - I think there may be some benefit for people who are not insured and need mental health services, but there should be a lot of external research to make sure that the provider they select is really qualified and working with the right intentions.

ETA; there is no way that Estee herself is using betterhelp - if she is receiving therapy or medication management, she is certainly visiting a costly provider who's very up to date on affirming language and all the latest treatment trends.

Ah that's great points, totally agree! My dad is an art therapist but he does it in person, he works in psychiatric hospital but with people who are mostly involuntarily committed , but most of my friends who are in therapy do it online and they do like it. I've just heard way too many iffy things about betterhelp, one person said in a comment section under some influencer video that her therapist ghosted her after two sessions, and she went into therapy to discuss her paralyzing fears of abandonment, I was like damn... savage. That's just one of many things I read, so yes research is important, don't fall for sweet Ad's done by people who need to read the back of a cream jar because they don't know what it is, but it's their "favorite"....
