It’s so awful!! They just keep repeating the same storylines (the homophobia/transphobia was done with Matty and then Marshall (quite recently) - not belittling real life experiences at all when I say this and I hope it doesn’t come across like that- the matty scenes were especially horrific. They also keep bringing in long lost relatives and hostages in barns. They need new writers urgently.

They might as well let off some distress flares.

I thought it'll be something relating to drugs. She needs pain relief during or after the birth and gets addicted, or can't bond with the baby because of memories of when she had Lucas. Hopefully they leave Clemmie out of it and she doesn't turn into a little psychopath

Maybe they can tie up and leave some characters we don't like in a derelict building and never refer to any of them ever again.

I reckon it will be Chloe who saves Mack, interesting juxtaposition after him not saving her in the car crash. He's a very popular character so I'm hoping they won't kill him off. Although I feel the death knell was sounded a few weeks ago when Charity said to him ""2024 will be our year"
 
Considering Moria is meant to open up about a past secret I think Mack is injured, maybe dies but hope not, and this is the catalyst that brings it up. Vanessa must be back soon and the producers may want Charity single for a 'who will she chose' story line' as we know they like to constantly repeat story lines.
I mean how many kidnaps have we had recently Aaron and Chas for two and Cain and Kyle involved in shot gun injuries.
 
I have a theory about Christmas shenanigans with Mack, Charity and Chloe. I'll put it all behind a spoiler as it contains an actual spoiler from Digital Spy but with my own thoughts added on.

Apparently, according to DS Chloe finds out what her Dad is doing and goes to the factory and releases Mack. He then abducts Chloe (her Dad not Mack!) and recaptures Mack, taking him back to the warehouse. Chas and Charity track Mack down to the warehouse and just as Harry/Damon is about to shoot Mack in front of Chloe Charity jumps on Harry/Damon and the gun goes off. I reckon that Harry/Damon will accidently kill Chloe and then Charity and Mack will end up bringing up Reuben as their own.
