I didn’t dislike her on Heartbeat but have hated her character in everything else, Wendy and Liam are not even remotely believable and don’t get me started on Faulty Towers. Main characters just disappear for ages
You never see even fake guests at the B&B
I don’t care about Jimmy or Tom the episodes are stupid
Quite like Liam and Wendy together
Everything else is just bollocks

I said the exact same to my husband!! He’s never been mentioned and no photos. Then all of a sudden there’s photos all over the house and he talks about Carl in every bloody sentence 🤣
Tom needs to grow up.
Also, who is his Mum supposed to be?

I’m not sure how long you’ve been watching but Charles didn’t know Naomi existed until 2021 as Naomi’s mum left Charles before she was born I think. Naomi’s mum couldn’t cope with her so she got adopted. As an adult Naomi traced her birth mum which then led to her eventually tracking down Charles

I've been watching since the 70s but my attention to details is often lessened when I get distracted.
I have a mind chimp chattering at me when I see bad acting.
It says, "OMG look at that shite acting. Why can't the casting people pick somebody good for a change......etc"
It leads to me missing details such as this.
I'm hoping this visit from Charles' Mum is leading to her taking Naomi away from the village.

Looking at the opening credits of each episode, there's lots of different writers and directors.

Ive noticed the names of a few I like. Paul Roundell usually injects a bit of humour and his episodes are usually ok. Then there's one named Karin Young. Her episodes are usually really good. She seems to know the character history as well as we do.
The names come up just after the theme music has played and in the first few seconds of each episode.
