I thought with Chester being so autistic like she makes out, that travelling and being out of routine would be quite difficult for him? Sorry if I sound ignorant as I know autism is a spectrum and every child is different (my six year old daughter is autistic) but what she says and how Chester behaves isn't adding up!
I don’t think she’s made reference to Chester having autism in a long time? Or have I missed it? I know she was mad on it before

So was he ever diagnosed?

By all evidence - no. He’s in a normal school and there’s been no evidence of him receiving therapy or doing any kinds of behaviour modification/treatment.

Also from all evidence between the posts from Gary and her, yes he can be bratty at times (probably due to how she has coddled him) but he’s a normal kid otherwise - handles the swaps to the two houses fine (including them not following routine days for things like the move and vacation), does a lot of outings to places with crowds/loud noises, does fine with not following a strict routine generally, seems to interact pretty okay with other kids his age, etc.

Just for ref the evidence of being in a ‘normal’(mainstream) school and not seeing any therapy is quite common for a child with a diagnosis - it’s pretty much here’s your diagnosis off you go.

However that being said I do feel like she would be very public about it if he did have a diagnosis

They have a private health plan though. They’ve both been very open about that and how they use it. So she would not only have been very open about the diagnosis, she’d likely be going to everyone she could for more attention and validation. It’d be the same with school - she’d have sought out somewhere with a ton of supports and small class sizes (in my home city a lot of families would send their kids to private schools instead of public with the belief there would be more supports….and there was, until too many started doing that and you ended up with half a class or more of students on IEPs and with varying accommodations and such and it’d get to be too much). Without a diagnosis hard to believe Gary would want to foot the bill for a different school if what is offered for Chester is decent enough.
