I have scouse family and I’ve never heard anyone say it.

She’s the only person in my 20+ years of life and living in various places across England I’ve ever heard call them that 🤷🏽‍♀️
So are you a scouser? Or just have family here ?

Im not scouse but north west, every scouser I know calls it The Asda, they don’t do it for other supermarkets. Had a scouse ex and him and all his family definitely said it
Look you can buy mugs with it on https://scouseshop.co.uk/products/the-asda-mug

I get where she’s coming from though. People say stuff like “you’re not fat” suggesting being fat = negative. They are trying to compliment but in a way that still encourages that beauty standard of fat = ugly. People are trying to reclaim the word fat and shake off the negativity surrounding it. Sorry if I didn’t explain that well but I do understand her take on it. people often think they are being positive and complimentary by saying “you’re not fat” because we are so conditioned to think fat is ugly.

Maybe she could have worded it better in her video though. But I do think it’s unnecessary to tell someone they are not fat when they know and accept that they are
