Emily Walters Journal #16 Kids only get stuff when it’s AD/AFF, even buying new school stuff is a faff!

What a surprise going to nursery tires her out 😯
Swear this is why she’s been mostly quiet since Amelia has gone, because she’s actually sleeping so has no other content

It’ll be exactly that. Nothing to complain about if Amelia’s settled at nursery and sleeping more!

According to her stories the other day shes not though. She’s reduced hours at nursery because she’s not settling and is off melatonin
I’m not sure what to believe with her to be honest

I was confused by this bit of her stories the other day. From what I understood A was doing long days and short days, mixed, throughout the week? She was struggling with long days as she'd got used to the routine of having lunch then being picked up, and when she wasn't on the longer days, became upset?

I understand the need for consistency for some children, and maybe I'm cynical about her intentions, but I wonder what the nursery's side would be. Has she jumped on the "ADHD/ASD" side of it and reduced her hours before she's settled and got used to it? Hmm

I feel like she was absolutely fuming about the reduced hours - she’s been waiting years to get rid of the kid 😂

I couldn’t understand what she meant either. They’ve shortened and “stretched” her days?? Honestly I don’t think she knows either, she’s just fuming it hasn’t worked the way she wanted it to
Also is “8 while 1” a Barnsley thing or an Emily thing because she’s never said it before

100%! You could see the rage in her face

By the sounds of it, she was doing a full day and a few short days or a few of both during term time.
And then they've just cut her down to the just short days but spread across school holidays too instead.

Not sure how many hours she does because they'd only get 15 hours 🤔
So that's usually only 3 half mornings term time
