Emily Norris #10 The Benjamin Buttoning of Jackson

Wondered what Emily's definition of really reasonable is for her Bali holiday. She said her last year's holiday to Majorca was coming up really expensive, so I checked and it's just over £3000 her person. £15,500 for all 5 of them. So assuming her Bali holiday is minimum £15k but they get so much more with the facilities, service, accommodation . So have they been been to Cancun at Christmas/New Year, skiing In France, New York, Cornwall and now Bali? They must be really raking it in, their holiday budget is insane.

I think Matt must have made some money when he sold his businesses plus I reckon they will have some money invested somewhere. She also gets a fair bit from social media.

I wouldn’t like to think how much considering the mammoth renovation and the ridiculous amounts of holidays.

Her social media work was built on being a relatable mum, giving tips and advice like she was your friend. I think it's insane that she's putting that on the bonfire and lighting a match by showing their many holidays. She could easily schedule posts, keep the holiday private etc. But they can't help but show off.

Yeah I agree to be fair we had a lazy day at the pool for our first day as I was knackered.
I'm not sure I'd be encouraging my child to feed a local cat though. She commented that SHE hadn't had her rabies vaccination so she obviously thinks there's a risk of disease (probably not rabies but ...) so pretty sure Jackson won't have so really should NOT be encouraging the cat. I'm sure its probably a nice cat but shouldn't really be encouraging her child to play with it.

Don’t think they’ve done anything but take pictures of their villas and pool…
I can’t believe they’ve not been out and about! There’s so much to see in Bali. We hired a driver for a day and he took us all over the place: temples, volcanos, waterfalls, silver and Batik making, the monkeys, cat poo coffee tasting! And that was just one day! What is the point of going all that way to sit in your villa? Although it’s a long way Bali is pretty cheap when you get there. I had the best massage ever at a local spa for £6 and a fab manicure for £3. Meals out were lush , sat on the beach by waters edge eating fresh seafood and fish for like £40 for 3 people including drinks! What a waste of money to go that far and do nothing!
I sometimes wonder if they stay close to the villa cos Jackson is a brat ( by his mothers making) and kicks off big time so they don’t do much in case he has a tantrum!!! Either that or they are just REALLY boring!!!

This was what I was thinking, why bother flying so far, could have gone to some where in southern Europe if you just want to sit by a villa pool and eat at hotel restaurants, sampling nothing "local". Is she keeping it all for a vlog?
The "perfect" life doesn't anger me, I find it sad that the poor kids every move has to be filmed for content, there's no time off. Most family holidays the parents leave their work behind (ok I know some do dip into work still while away, but not most). I think it is unlikely to be as perfect as portrayed. I'm also not sure what her content will be in 5 years time when kids are all secondary/older teens age and will surely not want to be filmed?
Yeah, also see trouble ahead with spoilt babied Jackson. Not his fault so much as the fault of the upbringing.

In her latest story she says the kids needed a break from sight seeing, so they have done some? Weird how all she's shown on stories is nothing but pools, food, villas and drinks. On the flip side.... its good to have some non filmed side to the holiday. But why not just say you are not posting for XX days whilst you have a break? Or put up stories that don't feature the kids (who are in most of the stories so far).

The ONLY reason they went there was cos thought it would make great content.
Why does she never take a week off from vlogging- they can’t even have a family holiday without it being her work. These influencers are such liars saying how lucky they are their job fits around their kids, they can stay home etc but they sell every single shred of family life. Most people when they go on holiday don’t think about work - but mothers influencers, even when it’s not an Ad or a freebie trip, they just never switch off. It’s really pathetic.
