Yeah I was around that age too Pics of me all dressed up ready to go out, ones of me out living my best life, pictures with random boys or groups of people and it was usually done just to wind him up or show him what he was missing. He did the same back But we were young, not pushing 40 like James is.

The worst thing about her mother is that she’s supposed to be a councillor and even markets herself towards young girls. If you can’t step in and help your own child you have no business being near other children. She’s also Emily’s biggest enabler.

Her mother doesn’t have to counsel her, but any decent parent would step in at this point, especially since she lives at home

The thing with EDs - as with addiction - is that the person with it has to acknowledge there's a problem. There's no point anyone else saying you've got a problem, you've got to recognise it yourself and want to do something about it.

I agree, BUT her mum definitely actively seems to enable it, which is the issue.
