she bought the tickets and gifted them to herself
her mom bought the tickets
tickets are given away to hotel/condo residents
she begged/annoyed whoever was in charge that they gave her some of the leftover unsold tickets they had.
I highly doubt she received them based on her influencer status.

I don't think our prissy proper ladylike girlboss would ever get pregnant before getting married. It just doesn't fit her princess fantasy. No Disney heroine gets knocked up before her big day 😂

I think a lot of her princess image is just that only an image. Didn’t someone say on here she was flirting with her “friends” rich boyfriend. I think Elle would do anything for that ring. And hey look at her mom, having a baby out of wedlock didn’t result in a ring but it did get her a pretty nice lifestyle.

Maybe his new lady has insisted he furnish his home appropriately (wine boxes do not a TV stand make) and get a full-time job before things get more serious. Or she read up on his engagement to Elle and his former civil union divorce and has promptly ditched him.

Does anyone believe Rick just spontaneously proposed to Elle? I think she absolutely encouraged his advances and dropped every hint possible. That period of her life was a chaotic, insane, secretive mess and I guarantee she has never processed being dumped by Rick or her role in the debacle.

Oh I think Rick signaled to Elle that he was willing to move way faster than any sensible person would, and that was a huge plus in her book. Joe leaving threw a huge monkey wrench in her timeline and life plan and after a false start with SS, Rick offered her the chance to make up a ton of lost time, which she certainly tried to do with him. I think Rick made all the choices on the ring itself, but the act of getting engaged had to have been both of them urging on each other.

If she had any real friends, they would have sat her down and told her everything about her plan stunk. Instead, she probably got the dolls smiling to her face about it while laughing at her behind her back, her mother enabling the entire mess, and her online 'community' too scared to even suggest she was making a mistake. Not that any of those people had an obligation to try and stop her, but imagine if one of them had. I can't say for sure she would have listened, but at least she couldn't say she had never been told.

I also think she was just as excited to be marrying Rick as Elle was. You just know she was gonna write a check to have a nice inlaw addition built on the swamp house for her.

I think she just went to the airport in Hawaii and saw Elle's pouty face all bummed out that Rick hadn't been letting her blow thousands on useless crap for weeks and did what she always did when Elle was pouting . . . . bought her more useless crap.
 
Isn't respect the first step in love? How does any man love Elle if he finds out about her wasting her education, her joblessness, her chasing after men, her lack of self respect? I bet this relationship doesn't last either.

It's so frustrating that Elle is so into Disney Princess movies which were made in the 50s. How about she look at some of the newer Disney movies like Zootopia?

I'm sure tons of men who are with Elle respect her. Every person is worthy of respect.

Where I think it goes wrong is that she just sort of has a horrible personality and is a shopaholic. It takes a lot of other good qualities to balance those out; qualities which Elle doesn't possess. She's not selfless, she's not funny, she's not humble, etc. You can get over someone spending a lot of money if they're inherently a good person with other amazing qualities. But in the end, she's a know-it-all who thinks she's better than everyone else.
