I think Stacey is overrated, and Lacey Turner's acting isn't that great.

Ben and Callum are really boring, especially Ben. I preferred Callum in scenes with Stuart, Mick and Whitney. I also preferred Ben when he was played by the previous actor, Harry Reid.

Ian suddenly being in love with Sharon is a bit ridiculous. He is acting like an overgrown toddler because she rejected him.

I can't see Jack staying around for much longer.

Eastenders is still very hit and miss for me (mainly miss). I was really sad to see Chantelle die and hope Gray gets found out. I didn't like Kheerat being shoehorned into the story as it takes away from the persistent DV Chantelle suffered for years. She died because Gray is a nasty bully not because she was having an affair and having Kheerat involved muddys the issue.

The actor who plays Kheerat is good but it just didn't ring true with Chantelle suddenly wanting to be with him. I also like the actor who plays Mitch and hope that we can see a bit more from him.

I guess it's probably a good thing that the Taylor boys who usually hide in the attic have gone AWOL along with Bailey 😁

The police story trying to bring down Phil is laughable. Callum, Jack and the dodgy inspector with the weird voice appear to be the only members of the local police force 🤣 I bet anyone watching who works for the police is totally baffled along with most of the viewers.

I find Callum totally cringeworthy and unrealistic on every level. The only good thing about the storyline is that Ben has got his hearing back and we don't have to suffer those awful sound effects any more.

As for Stacey, if she had nicked a few small amounts you could believe it but £40,000 is bloody ridiculous 😁 As if Ruby wouldn't be straight down the police station over that.... oh wait there's only 3 coppers in Walford so why bother 🤣
The thing with the Ruby storyline surely if your account had been hacked the bank would suspend it while the investigated and change all the account numbers etc.

Yes the story is ridiculous. If large amounts were being taken out the bank would have contacted her as well to check for fraud.

It's ludicrous to think that Ruby would let penniless Stacey pay her back gradually as well. How the hell would she do that with a cleaning job she never attends? 😁

It's as mystifying as the idea that the local police DI has a vendetta against Phil 🤪 and that Sharon thinks its OK to leech off every man she meets with no consequences. Still no doubt the writers have planned for Ian to sign the Vic over to her when she finds out the truth about Denny's death.

I presume he is the baby she had with Phil and gave up for adoption.
Yes the baby was born after Denise had a one night stand with Phil when they were both drunk.
The child was given up for adoption.

It seems very unrealistic that Denise would be informed about the child post adoption but in EE children are just used as props that the adults can fight over.🙄

That scene in the nightclub was very strange. Why would Phil drop in for a casual drink? Hasn't he got a criminal empire to run with his new intern Callum 😄

EE has entered surreal territory. I couldn't believe it when Mica Paris appeared 😃 I'm still laughing at Linda being the new Dot Cotton and Mick being unconcerned about a strange woman taking loads of photos of his child. 😁 yeah right

What’s the deal with Mica Paris’s character - is she Raymond’s adoptive mother? And how did Denise find out about Raymond? I think I missed an episode haha! I don’t think I’m used to having the soaps back full time 🤣

I'm confused about this too. Apparently the character played by Mica Paris is Raymond's adoptive grandmother. The adoptive parents have died in an accident. Cue a 3 way fight between Mica Denise and Phil over the child......

I think she's Raymond's adoptive grandma. Denise overheard Callum talking about a car crash and she recognised alot of details she had been sent in a letter from the adoptive parents. Bit unrealistic that she'd be allowed in the hospital/ward though..

It may have been an open adoption or just an agreed upon thing that she would receive updates via post.

From what I remember, someone in the Square told Denise that there had been a serious car crash nearby and it was the car of the Reverend something or other who had adopted Raymond. Family was in the car. So of course she rushed to the hospital.

Very unrealistic for Denise to be able to just walk into the hospital room of a young boy she has no proof of relation to, especially due to the current situation. A lady on my road had a stroke last month and her husband wasn’t even allowed to go in to drop some things off for her, but here’s a stranger effectively just walking up to they boy.
Also, does anyone feel like Chantelle has practically been forgotten? I started watching EE around the time Lucy Beale died and remember the aftermath and watching her family and friends find out being so emotional. It was the same when Ronnie and roxy died a few years ago, and many other major characters death had a much bigger impact. You’d people like Lola and Denise to have been more affected as they worked together and seemed to get on well. We barely got to see her family react. All we saw was Karen cry whilst Mitch stood in the background and later in the family sitting in silence. I know they were meant to be in shock but since then we haven’t even seeing keegan or any outside of Karen really seem to be mourning her.
I stopped watch EE about 2 years ago, but saw a compilation type video of Chantelle’s story on YouTube after it was announced she was being killed off and became invested in the story so started watching again, thinking her death would have a much deeper impact. Was quite disappointed with the outcome but it might also be to show how things like this happen all the time and most of the time society just carries on as if nothing happened.

Is stuff supposed to have happened in the lockdown bit that we didn’t see. I don’t remember that Ian bought the pub, where the Carters live now, Linda in the laundrette etc. Or did I miss one before it ended?
The very last episode mick sold the vic to Ian but all the other stuff has just been since it came back the other week ☺️
