I just remembered a small detail from the minute mart scene. Gray said he didn’t want the organic milk because it was ‘too expensive’ but when he realises he has no money on him to pay for the glass bottle of milk he says he’ll pay tomorrow and give her £2 instead.

Bit weird to not want to pay for the ‘expensive’ milk but then seconds later he’s willing to pay presumably more than the organic milk would have cost the next day. Wonder if that was intentional or not. A minor slip up?

a slip up for Gray I think, he wanted the glass bottle purely so he could smash it when he walked into the kitchen. Totally calculated move, but he got caught out with the money
 
Gray will be interviewed by the police no doubt. They always interview the spouse/partner when something like this happens. Will be interesting to hear how he explains his version of events in an interview room under pressure (but I suppose as a lawyer he thrives in those situations).

Reallyyyyyy hope they don’t drag it out till Christmas. Also hope they don’t go with the Whitney theory. Or if they do she realises what he’s like before they get properly together and nopes out of there. She will end up involved in this in some way I think because of her trial.

It’s never been mentioned or hinted at so I’d say no. Which surprised me to be honest with how controlling he is.

Maybe he thought better of it, he has a lawyer brain, so will have thought about how to exert control over Chantelle, whilst leaving as little evidence as possible from a legal perspective, should the tit hit the fan like it did on Friday. Cameras record stuff and police can tell when things get deleted and can even recover lost data sometimes. So he probably thought that would be too risky. He’s always been very calculated with his abuse towards Chantelle. That said, he had a tracker in the car (did someone discover that? Maybe Dotty?) and I think on her phone, which if found would raise suspicions I think.

I might be totally making this up but the milk thing... did Chantelle go for milk (ages ago) and say Gray prefered organic? This could be why Suki pointed out the organic and another thing that points to it being odd that he bought the non organic.
I agree the episode was so well done given they couldn’t be in contact with social distancing.

If it was real they wouldn’t have had to social distance as they lived together. But fresh bruising/recent injuries would be looked into. We seen bruising quite a few times that we didn’t see an attack for (pre break) so I wouldn’t be surprised :(
 
I’ve just seen a vid on FB about Karen coming home and finding out...they obv haven’t told her. It’s heartbreaking 💔
In the scenes Gray is also being interviewed by the police. I really hope he gets caught but he will prob throw Kheerat in the frame first reckon. K fingerprint will be on the alarm.

I saw that. Her reaction as she realises is just heartbreaking. I also noticed that during that clip Gray made a point about how Chantelle “can’t sleep without hot chocolate”. He said similar in the minute mart to Suki too. Wondering if that will come back to bite him.

Milk and hot chocolate will be that mans downfall!

It’s really sad. I am gonna be a mess later 😭
 
Haven’t watched eastenders much but got invested in this storyline during lockdown. I think the reason Gray said the milk was for Chantelle was because he remembered that he preferred the organic milk and that Suki might know this. I 100% think someone will say something about his weird behaviour and that’ll be his downfall. I at least hope that’s how he get caught, can’t imagine finding out one of those poor children came down and saw what was happening.
