I noticed this in one of this week’s episodes, Nish said Panessa and Vinny said Panesar. Odd how they haven’t agreed on a pronunciation 😂
Neither pronunciation is wrong. Nish is saying it the way it's meant to be and Vinny is saying it in a simplified way

Someone pointed out that most of the panesars have nicknames. It's for the same reason. When people that aren't of the same culture come across those types of names, they tend to have a hard time pronouncing them properly (another example from someone here.. the way Suki pronounces Kheerat "keerit" compared to how others pronounce his name eg Stacey saying "key rat"). That's why you might have come across individuals with names like Peter but their real names are Pardeep. Or names like Jagvir being shortened to Jag.

It's not always the case. People can have different reasons. I believe this is the same for people from other backgrounds as well with ethic names

My dad has his birth name and an English nickname (he’s Sikh) his friends couldn’t pronounce his birth name in junior school so they decided on a nickname and it stuck.
My uncles have English nicknames also.

Cindy was the absolute worst tonight, bringing in the local copper, flirting with George horrendously and its clear shes working with Junior to get close to George and the girls as hes just always around watching her. Shes doing my head in, just dump Ian (the reduced flowers were typical) and save him some heartache and duck off. I dont want her and George together. Harvey doing the creepy fb stalk.

Does Junior like Cindy?

I reckon Cindy will find out his secret rendezvous with Bianca 😜
There's something weird about Junior.
Is he going back to his job in Dubai?
Why is he hanging around in Walford?
If he's on holiday why is he dressed in a business suit?
Does he really care about his dad? Or is he just snooping around for blackmail material?

I hope Cindy does find out. She's a hypocrite but certainly not the only one in Walford 😄
