I would like George to meet his brothers and maybe they can be the new Mitchell brothers (but hotter)😊
His brothers live in Ghana so I can't say I'm particularly bothered about them but of course they could have children living in the UK who could show up at some point.

I'd be more interested in seeing Georges's son who would probably be a few years older than Gina. It hasn't been explained why he doesn't see him.

Wow that was a great episode! It’s so refreshing that Martin didn’t keep his mouth shut and drag the secret out for months. The best part was Chelsea hitting Saint Stacey. And Stacey actually thought she could just say ‘Come on Lil, don’t be like that’ and Lily would just say, ok mum, let’s go home and carry on like you haven’t been shagging my daughter’s grandad.
Great stuff, Stacey actually got to hear what people think of her.

I still maintain that Stacey will be pregnant by Jack, and keep the baby.

I was cracking up at the last few minutes of today's episode 🤣

I do wish they had given a bit more explanation as to why George's family hadn't tried to reconnect after his dad died.

I know there was a time it was quite easy for Africans and West Indians to relocate here due to Commonwealth and immigration, after a time it got a little harder unless you went to a EU country first (Italy is quite popular) or came to work in health care.

Otherwise, it's just super expensive to travel. Like up to £1000+ for the flight alone if you don't plan properly and if they were so poor they had to temporarily sell their child then they probably couldn't afford it.

I’m still not over the shit end to the Theo story. When it first started it was so good and as per usual they just didn’t finish it off properly.
No they messed up that story and now I think they are messing up George's fostering story, they are ruining 2 good storylines but the "famous 6" story line is still being dragged along since Christmas and I am sick of it.

But then how did all the other families get their children back? They must have been all in the same boat economically to farm out their children in the first place.

See, this is what Eastenders get wrong. This is a fascinating storyline on its own, we had the farming - which was interesting and informative I’d certainly never heard of it. Then we had George realising he wasn’t Jamaican, he was from Ghana. Again, an interesting story, I would’ve like to see him process this more and look at what that feels like.
Him finding it hard to forgive his adoptive parents for lying about his origins and maybe meeting some blood siblings would also have been good. All the actors involved would have made it compelling.

But no, they had to stick a tacky murder plot in for no reason. And ruin it.

Doesn’t it take years to get extradited? Ridiculous if they just pick him up midway through karaoke night at the Vic and then he’s just gone. Lexi will be unbearable too.

Some of these actors must hate working there. Imagine you played jay and you got told to come in every now and then to run and remind everyone you're training for a marathon. Then you're off again for weeks at a time
easy money, wish I could do that for my job 😂

Oooh I never knew he had a son.

Exactly they could have explored it the storyline In more depth it’s like they have just got bored of the storyline

I think the same happened with the Theo storyline that just come to an abrupt end and didn’t really close off properly. I don’t think they have done Georgia’s storyline much justice with the farming issue. They could’ve explored it more and elaborated in more depth they have sort of already given that storyline a dead end like his birth mother passed away and his birth father is dead. I don’t think they should’ve portrayed the storyline like that.

I’ve just seen a clip of tonight’s episode. It looks half decent to be fair but Martin does my head in pining after Stacey when they were divorced years ago reminds me of a sulky teenager.

Also what happened to Ruby Alan ? She came back for awhile then sort of went. I know in real life she went off to have her baby. Does anyone know if she’s coming back?

Well at least Kathy tells Martin to stop letting Stacey control his life tonight and be her fall back guy. Well said Kathy.

I don't think Ruby is coming back and I don't particularly want to see her again.

The Theo storyline did seem to stop abruptly which was odd.

I enjoyed George's story, having his adoptive father be a murderer was a bit OTT but this is Eastenders and its all for dramatic effect. Just having George reunite with his birth mum would be a bit dull after one episode.
