Eve seems like a promising character, Heather Pearce is a good established actress.

I don’t mind The Harvey’s either, however Aaron is clearly gonna be the new bigoted bad boy.

I agree about Ash, moany asf.

Peter is a wet drip, disappointing recast.

Bailey is another annoying kid, I hate preachy characters.

I’m still think that baby Alyssa might be Denny’s, Zack seems too obvious and Martin does not need another kid.

Who else lived in the flat before Sharon and Zack? There was Kush and Mo. Mick and Linda but surely it's not Micks🙄

It can’t be Kush’s. How they gonna prove it? His family aren’t around. He’s deceased would the courts really allow a DNA test from his other child (with Stacey) based on a hunch? The mother knows who the father is and she’s abandoned the child so pretty impossible unless she turns up in future episodes to demand it. It’s gotta be Martin’s, he just needs to admit it.

I’ve seen people saying Whitney can raise the child if it’s his but they can’t just decide amongst themselves without the mum.

I agree would be pointless, Kush is gone and doubt I Carmel is returning, before Whitney Kush was dating Kat and Denise so unless he had a fling with someone else in between seems a bit slim.

I seriously cannot stand Aaron!!!!
Aaron gonna be a marmite character! I think it’s clear the direction they heading with him, with the way he’s acting and his behaviour with Ash.

I like Dana though and Harvey isn’t too bad I think they the better of the new characters introduced.

The thing with the mystery baby storyline is how did the person who left the baby know which address to leave the baby outside of as I don’t think Sharon, Zack or Martin were living there approx 2 years ago.

If it was a one night stand then I doubt addresses were exchanged so not sure how the mother tracked her down

I’m still not sure that Zack is even the father. I think the presumption is there because of his love them and leave them reputation. The presumption is also there because of the dad of one of Zack’s conquests was looking for him the same day that the baby turned up. Was the baby that man’s grandchild?

Surely if you don’t normally date black or mixed-race women you would remember the time that you did it 2 years ago

Even though I dislike Aaron it's good to have a character that is pushing the boundaries a bit. Even the traditional 'gangster/hardman' characters in EE like Phil and Ben are mainly 'politically correct'. I think Aaron will definitely be part of a far right group.

As for the baby debacle. A call to the police and social services should have happened immediately. Surely it's illegal to just keep a child on your doorstep, it's not like taking in a stray cat!

I agree. Hearing the language and actions of bigotry in the old classic episodes is unpleasant to watch, but eye opening. It's made me glad to see how UK society has progressed! By making everything too PC in the modern soaps is dampening down real life issues, making people less likely to care.

Ugh that would be such a stupid storyline! Much better if it was Martin’s, at least he’s actively involved in current storylines unlike Sharon and obviously Denny

I would rather it be Zack’s as Martin is OLD and it would be creepy AF but I guess it depends what age the mother is meant to be 😭

edit: Martin’s daughter Bex is 21 so please not doing it with a child

Anyone else think this baby is Martin's? His face when Zack asked if he could remember everyone he'd slept with in the past 2 years. Been trying my hardest to remember if Martin had a 1 night stand around then but he bored me so much back then I have nothing lol

Yeah, just catching up now and I thought the same about Martin!

Right. It's all too glossy and whitewashed nowadays. Also slightly OT but i think it feels less real compared to the classic episodes because the set is also too glossy and looks like a TV set and not a real town. Even the way the characters act and interact, though that might partly be due to covid, its like you can see them acting. Anyway it doesn't have the naturalness it used to and the lack of grittier story lines is at least partly the reason for that.
