Yes, Dean and Shabnam had a ONS, she got pregnant, he never knew. She gave birth with no one knowing and abandoned the baby on a door step. This all happened off screen and wasn’t revealed until years later when the script writers decided to invent it.
Then, in the same realistic way that adopted children Bex Fowler and Raymond Fox ended up back with their birth family, Jade was traced and given to Shabnam. Jade has cystic fibrosis and her and Shabnam left the show together. She has rarely been mentioned since, but maybe this means that Shirley has been spending time with her.

Dean surely can't be here for THAT long? I know it may be representative of real life when it's incredibly hard to get a conviction, but I don't think they can have a r*pist walking round the square for years....unless they intend to turn him into some sort of super villain but even then he would have to face comeuppance at some point.

It's an odd one but you can much easier keep a murderer around (hello Garry in Corrie) and turn them into a reformed character and forget about their past...not so much a r*pist

Perhaps Dean will attack another woman and finally get his comeuppance.
I certainly hope so.
 
annoyed that George didn't deck dean into next week. Ian the wee snake persuading Cindy to keep hush. Can Shirley drown Dean in the bathtub again? Can't stand him, no remorse and I hope they bump him off before Christmas because I don't see how he would fit in with the other five. Keanu is a contender after tonight, how far does he think he is going to get?

I have a horrible feeling they’ll try to turn the character around. I mean, look at Alfie who in past stints has burned Kat horribly in a house fire, or Stuart who kidnapped Tina and locked her in a boot. OK not as awful as what Dean did but it shows EE writers are always trying to rehab characters and want us to forget past storylines completely.
 
If they had brought Dean back at a time when Linda wasn’t on the square they might have tried to redeem him but the fact his return is already so linked to what he did, he is surely going to pay?

I do feel like they should have done the whole Denise Ravi Chelsea storyline now, or at least not all the way back in April, I’m still not sure why that one was so early and stand-alone and now all the rest of the 6 stories look to be playing out at the same time…unless that’s a hint? We must surely be getting more of that story over the coming weeks because from a viewing perspective that’s by far the weakest 6 storyline at the moment (given that it’s been forgotten about and most the characters have disappeared)
 
Where on earth is Phil? How is this all playing out with Jay, yet Phil isn’t even mentioned. Billy, Honey, Ben, Callum, Lexi were all at the hospital yesterday, surely Phil would have been there too? And what about the scenes of them all in the pub last week, when Jay was getting disowned?

Dean was with stacy at some point, he then raped Linda and it came out Shirley was micks mum so Dean was his brother. He then attempted to rape roxy and Shirley tried to drown him in the bath. At Linda and micks wedding I'm sure mick tried to drown him aswell. He went on trial got found not guilty and then Shirley's partner buster (who I think turned out to be his dad) gave him money to leave.

Poor Kathy she never catches a break with men, wonder what karen has to do with going into the cafe while it’s on fire as that’s how she’s meant to die is in a fire??
