Yeah she ran away from her appointment and assumed the worst. I don’t think she will have cancer again but who knows where it’ll lead.

We won't be lucky enough that she would be leaving the show. Nothing against the actress I just have always found the character extremely annoying and overated and wouldn't miss it if she left.

I had heard Dani was going to be in the show but I thought they were using her because of social distancing - same as when Ian’s son was used as the Policeman who arrested him (I think it was Ian anyway). However, this reads like she’s actually having a proper role

Feel like they dropped a clanger with Granny Halfway. They have tried to morph her into a loveable battleaxe and its backfired. Does anyone else find her voice so irritating? I can't stand the way she delivers her lines too. Not sure if anyone watches Corrie but Maureen Lipman acts the loveable battleaxe so well as Evelyn in comparison.

She's bloody awful.
I'm a few episodes behind but in the last one I watched, about a third of the scenes were between her, Stuart and Rainie. In my opinion, if the actress was any good at all those scenes would have been great because the S and R actors are fantastic and always produce quality comedy scenes when the chemistry is right. Granny Halfway has zero chemistry with anyone she's shared a scene with so far: time to bin her IMO.

The actor is 82 in real life but not sure how old she is in the show. She looks pretty decent for her age in my opinion my grandpa is around the same age and manages to navigate his iphone and ipad well so this notion that all pensioners can't use computers or phones is a bit of an over-generalisation. And same-sex relationships have existed forever, not since 2015 so more over-exaggerated nonsense about her not being able to get her head around Callum being married to Ben. They can have a judgemental, interferring old bat without making them oblivious to anything thats happened in the world after 1960
