With the surrogate storyline have they conveniently forgotten Bernie lost a baby, wouldn’t that be mentioned or be a reason she wouldn’t want to hand over a baby? I know it’s not real but it could trigger mums who have been in that position. I hope they make it more about support for baby loss and having subsequent children after a loss rather than miss that vital part out altogether.
 
Is it just me who thinks a middle aged couple getting an 18 year old to be their surrogate is a bit weird? I get that Bernie volunteered herself, but if it were me, regardless of how desperate I was for a child, there’s no way I’d allow someone so young to do this for me. She is barely out of childhood herself and has a history of still birth, surrogacy takes a huge emotional toll on the woman carrying the baby. It seems more appropriate to find someone with more life experience to be honest. I can’t see this storyline ending well.

I don't understand why they want to do it as I thought that they had custody of baby Abbey. Didn't Max leave her with them?

I have 2 possible theories in my head here. She will go through with it & then not want to hand the baby over at the end which is a strong possibility after her previous loss
Or
Karen will freak out at the idea of Bernie doing it but when she hears how much its worth will volunteer herself
 
Surely they can’t make a decent storyline of it being Max’s baby when he isn’t even in the show anymore.... also she’d be like half way through her pregnancy if it was Max’s. Stranger things have happened I guess😂😂 will have to wait to see if it comes out ginger
 
I was thinking they might have her think she’s pregnant but it’s actually something else like menopause or even cancer. Would make for a more interesting storyline as they’ve already had a ‘not sure who the father is’ with Linda in the past.
 
Doesn’t she already think she has the menopause though? So it wouldn’t be a shock to find that confirmed. I think they’ll do pregnancy but not sure how they’ll write her out of the show.
 
Oh does she? I missed a couple of episodes. Just in in the articles they all mentioned her thinking she was pregnant, not that she actually was which made me think it might not be that.
