I feel a bit disappointed about what they’ve done with Gray, he started as part of a domestic violence storyline but now they’ve turned him into a serial killer. Just feels a shame that the good they could have done with domestic violence awareness has now been lost with him bumping of anyone who annoys him.
I’ve said the same on another article. By making Gray a serial killer off the back of the domestic violence story line is a shame. It takes away from the impact that the dv storyline has. I’m the kind of person who likes storylines that impact on people and helps them see that actually I’m in a abusive relationship, many use violence and mental abuse. What’s to say that some poor women or man off the back of this storyline decide to stay in that relationship thinking they could turn like Gray? I’m probably overthinking this.

Gray was lucky twice to find the only empty tube station in our capital and for no CCTV footage to be there. It was night time but when Kush and Whitney were talking in the station they left Arthur out of sight sat behind them where he could have easily got snatched. What took Whitney so long just to take a little boy for a wee? Constipation doesn't last that long.

I read on Reddit that apparently the train was travelling at 600 km/h which is something like 300mph I think😂 I dunno how someone worked that out but don’t trains usually slow down when passing through a station? Apparently there’s usually an alarm that triggers when there’s something on the tracks? I don’t know much about the underground tbh. But I know not all train stations have toilets and often you have to leave the station to find some, so it’s not really surprising that Whitney was gone for a while. Regardless of blunders, it was savage to watch. Surely the train driver will have seen something as they were approaching, as well as the cctv. I hope tonight’s episode doesn’t disappoint.

I feel like Gray the domestic abuser is so far removed from the Gray we have now though. Not really a fan of what they’ve done with him after Chantelle’s death and agree that it has cheapened the whole domestic abuse story. His abuse of Chantelle went on for so long it would have been really satisfying to see him get caught for it and for everyone to know what he did to his wife instead of him getting all this sympathy, but now she will be an after thought.

I'm absolutely sick of Gray, at this point he is a pantomime villian instead of the manipulative domestic abuser he was introduced to us as. I also felt he played that role better than this random maniac with questionable motives- at least it was clear cut! This just feels like they are clutching at straws and using him as a way for the characters to leave the square! Even the actor doesn't seem to believe in the storyline, he looks like he can't be arsed these days

Yes to all of the above. There was a point where they showed there was a backstory of Gray’s past which most likely led to how he was with Chantelle so that could have been explored further...instead they’ve got him wrapping up bodies and pushing people in front of trains! 🙄

Remind me, what did he do with Tina’s body? I remember him putting in the boot but did they show any more after that?

I think we can assume that he was always a bit 'on the edge' and a man with a violent temper who took everything out on his poor wife (the lovely Chantelle).

My take on his descent into madness is that he tipped over the edge after killing her. He's become more and more reckless while grieving for Chantelle and is eaten up with guilt for what he did.
I predict a sticky end for him or a trip to an asylum!

There was an actual episode though where he and Chantelle went to some kind of counselling session and he talked about his (abusive IIRC) childhood and it did make you feel quite sad for him.

I agree with everyone about gray, the storyline is so far fetched and unrealistic it’s actually funny.
If they’re really going down the serial killer route I hope they add a twist similar to ‘Netflix you’, or maybe a schizophrenia storyline showing what can happen if you don’t get help for it or any violence and aggression. Eastenders make it look ok to beat people up and murder someone, it’s about time they drop the east end gangster storylines and talk about real issues I think.

We have the same faves lol. Did you like Vincent? I did
Yes I did like him, it's a shame he left. Did Kim ever find out what happened to him?

He didn't really work as a villain though,
not quite hard enough 😉 I preferred his scenes with Kim as a family man.

Shirley is another of my favourite characters.

Some way for Carmel to lose two of her sons.
😟 should never have strayed into Walford 😱😫😢
