There's a Chekhov's gun moment to keep an eye out for tomorrow, involving the knife by the pizza that they focused the camera on.
"If you say in the first act that there is a rifle hanging on the wall, in the second or third act it absolutely must go off. If it's not going to be fired, it shouldn't be hanging there." — Sergius Shchukin (1911) Memoir
only not with an actual gun.
Wait, so Simon and Ian aren’t brothers? All these years I’ve thought Cindy had a baby (Steven) with Ian’s brother. It gets very confusingNo, it’s David and Ian with the same dad
Pete beale was married to Pat but only David Wicks and Ian are his. Not sure if there was an affair to have Simon but hom and Ian don't share a dad. To make it more confusing Bianca is the daughter of David tooWait, so Simon and Ian aren’t brothers? All these years I’ve thought Cindy had a baby (Steven) with Ian’s brother. It gets very confusing
So looking at the bigger family tree, Abi Jnr is the granddaughter of Cindy, Wicksy, Max and Tanya? And the great granddaughter of Pat but not Pete?
Then Louie is the grandson of Cindy, Ian, Max and Tanya. And nothing to do with Pat.
Ok
Someone on Walford Web has made a massive one. What’s even more confusing is they’ve included multiple characters played by one actor. So the Taylor’s are on there but Lorraine Stanley is there again as Thelma BraggHas someone ever got a list of all the characters ever in EastEnders and then made a family tree, just to see how linked all the families and every character is? Or is that too complicated to actually achieve?

Martin and Ben aren’t blood in any way but as Martin still sees Kathy as his Auntie, IRL they’d probably consider each other cousinscan you imagine?! it would be like game of thrones
there’s so many connections i forget about (ie how martin and ben are sort of related through ian) that i would love to see a chart like this.

Yeah, Martin and Ian are cousinsi assumed they would have a link through ian (as ian and martin are cousins….. i think ) so i agree with you that they probably view one another as cousins, in a very distant way!
There’s no depth to Elaine - she’s either happy and full of extravagance or like the emojiElaine is doing my box in. I know someone mentioned she’s more a stage actress (I remember her from The Brittas Empire as a kid)
But she needs to bog off to panto or something.
This gives me a headache lmaoBen is linked to almost everyone
He has half siblings Ian, Louise and Raymond.
He is Peter, Lucy and Bobby’s uncle.
He had Lexi with Lola, which makes him doubly related to all the Mitchells.
Sam is his auntie, so Ricky is his cousin.
He isn’t directly related to the Brannings yet, but Jack is Ricky’s dad and Raymond’s stepdad, and when Lily’s baby arrives she will be Ben’s second cousin (I think).
