Eamonn Holmes

So glad I noticed this thread but seems I’m in the minority of not being able to stand him.

He’s an odious horrible whinging hole.
I always remember a guest on this morning had an unusual name and he just kept saying things that sounded like it even though she had said it herself a few times and in the end he just said can you just change your name? Which seems like a joke but he was so rude about it.

Ngl I'm surprised to see so many people wanting it to be a rave thread!! He's not the worst person on telly but I don't think 'old-school' is always necessarily a good thing.

I don't get how this man earns a living. It must be his soft Oirish brogue. The man is a rampant misogynist. There is also no doubt in my mind he is homophobic and racist. Obviously I can't prove that and he might be a very nice man. Ruth Langsford's TV career was going nowhere and she opened her legs for Holmes. I pity her for that. She's making good coin now, so fair play.

I love how Ruth is selling tat on QVC, making-out she'd designed it herself when the truth is some poor young South-East-Asian is slaving-away on less than minimal wage in a sweat-shop. It sickens me. I don't know how she sleeps at night.

I see he's on GBNews breakfast show now.

He seems very old for his age and what has he done to his face?
Has he had a facelift? Cheek implants?
He's starting to look like Barry Manilow.
WTF has he done?

I'm torn between him looking puffy due to illness or stretched due to cosmetic work.

Thats what I can't decide.
He's made it known he's suffering chronic pain so he's probably got some strong medication but I can't decide why his face looks like it does.

And as I said earlier, he seems really old for his age.

60 is the new 40 but he seems like he's in his 80s as @Tatooine_legend1 says.

I like him. He's got his faults. Who hasn't? I do like how he cuts through the fluff and bluster that so many people in his field have going on. I like Ruth, too. I believe their 'banter' is just that. My other half and I say some horrible things to each other but we're equally laughing at what the other comes out with (and trying to outdo them). We hold each other in mutual contempt but are joined at the hip and love each other to bits.
