Drag in the UK has been around a lot longer than Ru Paul. Yes it’s great to shine a light on our talented LGBTQ artists and get them more into the mainstream, but I feel like DR UK is sucking the essence out of what it is to be a drag queen in the UK. It’s not about pageants and polished dresses/hair/makeup here, it’s always been about personality and comedy. I like Lawrence Chaney as to me he’s like a ‘traditional’ British queen. I’d much rather go and see a queen with an old dress, scruffy wig and a banging personality over one that can bedazzle a cat suit, do great eye makeup and land a drop split...
 
100% agree. I like Tayce and A'whora but to me, that's not what drag is really about. I really like Bimini because she can perform and has fun with her looks. I love Joe Black, seen him a couple of times. As much as I love the fun of the show and I haven't been able to get UK Hun out of my head, he's too good for that carry on. He probably wouldn't say that himself. The show doesn't encourage individuality, but I do think th UK one makes for better entertainment.

See this grates on me, cos I bet people will come out the woodworks like, "Oh, Ru just wants to make good TV, she wants all these moments to be captured on TV, she doesn't owe anything to these queens" and it's like, yeah, that's true, but it doesn't change the fact that it's rude to say that "nothing you say matters" lol, esp. in response to something so sincere and innocuous

It's just bootlicking behaviour, like what, once you make it big, you don't have to say "thank you" for the compliment or alternatively keep your mouth shut when you CBA to deal with someone, like the rest of us do? It's not like Pearl was some random lunatic on the street - she was on Ru's show! People will rip one another apart for the tiniest of transgressions, but with Ru and some others it's "It makes good TV!!!"...bore off

100%, manners cost nothing, no matter how “famous” you are. A simple “it’s been great having you on the show” or “that’s really kind of you to say” is polite and courteous, and costs NOTHING. Not everything has to be for the cameras and it infuriates me that people think that being rude is acceptable. Saying “Ru wanted to capture it for the show” is BS- There are ways to word things and Ru did not word this well at all, no matter his intentions behind those words. Plain rude.
 
I agree with the above. Pearl said that's why he clocked out at that point, which is understandable. Did you ever hear Ru and Michelle discussing it on "What's the Tea?' Then Pearl did a reaction video where he just gave the perfect facial expressions. :LOL:
Pearl was a kid for chrissakes and he made one comment, so Michelle, with her "hold my earrings" is a bit of an overreaction, not to mention the fact she seems to be a bit of a follower and would back up Ru no matter what.
