I has a bad dose of strep throat a few months ago It was horrible my tongue was swollen I had pus bubbles at the back of my mouth the pain was unreal, I have my tonsili out and this is worse than the pain I remember, but if you keep pumping yourself full of meds they do stop working,

Seriously, she is delusional. I've never in my life seen someone who is supposedly a working professional, as opposed to a celebrity, go on as many holidays or have as much time off as her (and I'm still baffled as to how her husband has so many annual leave days too). Not good at putting herself first? It's what she's best at 😂

She may genuinely have something wrong with her tonsils or throat as she is very throaty always and does seem to run with a problem....so go to an ENT and get it sorted if it's a recurrent issue. Bizarre as a GP. But then maybe constantly being able to cry off clinics with a "legitimate" illness might suit her (and as others said, can't be on death's door if you're on Instagram all day). Dublin clinic wasn't working out; she was regularly on ranting about late cancellations when she thinks nothing of cancelling at least a couple of clinics a month.

Sorry now, there's some 'cool research' in this area now.... Having porridge for breakfast, a ham salad sandwich for lunch and a balanced dinner with a few snacks in there is fairly well researched last time I checked. Now saying that, I'm not a doctor.... she is constantly looking to buy a solution to everything, such a spoilt witch.

Am I the only person in the world who just barely manages to get to clean my face with a clothe and then put on moisturiser,
My mind is blown (not in a good way ) all these words she throws out about creams ,
Is everyone using an and doing all these routines ???
It's all a gimmick. Our parents generation never had all those creams and fancy worded cosmetics and their skin is perfect.

1. Genetics rule (hormones, skin type etc 💪)
2. SPF (majority of skin damage done as a child, genetics will kick in when older 🤓) Wear it.
3. Cleanse (cheap n cheerful 👍)
4. Slow n steady with the acids, oids and oins 😉 (see point 2) Retinol<Retinal<Retinoic acid (Tretinoin*)
5. Vitamin C is clear (not yellow). Do not buy anything that says it is unless it's in dark bottle and has ferrulic acid (stabiliser) in it. It's the most unstable molecule so don't waste your money, unless it's fresh (less than 2 weeks).

Question on affordable vitamin C serums. Laura links the range of vitamin C being sold by her clinic. Minimum price 45 euro, and up to 100 euro plus for some. Eh, what planet is she on
You see, this is where people are just different - in my friend group I'd say we all spend €100 on Vitamin C. Agree wtih a previous poster that many products on the might contain Vitamin C but if its not stable the product becomes a dud, so you have to be quite particular.

Agree with all of the above, but I'd also add in not smoking or being a heavy drinker - both of those will have your skin looking old before time, especially smoking.

My routine looks something like this.

Morning - Cleanser (CeraVe at the moment, but lots of good affordable options), SPF (currently using Eucerin, but again what you like and can afford, followed by a Vit C from Obagi (spenny)
Evening - Same cleanser, whatever moisturiser as a buffer. and then tretinoin which I buy over the counter in Spain and costs about €20.

I also get botox, because lets be real, skincare is great but botox is bloody effective.

How do you manage to get the Tretinoin in Spain? I looked into it before but was getting conflicting information online that it couldn't be obtained anymore without a prescription (same as lots of stuff they've cracked down on). My partner is Spanish so we go over there regularly enough to family. Is there a brand name? Thanks and sorry for co-opting the post!!

In other news, when is she ever in that clinic?! Looked at her stories a couple of days ago and she finished her morning skincare routine about 11am and was getting her nails done in the afternoon. Two of the kids in UK with Ross. Casually mentioned another holiday next week in Kelly's. She lives in another world to the people she's shilling to.

Dr Laura’s idea of affordable is very different to everyone else’s!

Going on and on about looking after herself - she’s on the couch most of this week and has the next two weeks off. Plus half the time when she is working she’s having treatments. What a lifestyle!
