This show has become such comfort for me, I always loved it of course, but now I just put on any season and watch it at random times during the week. I’ve rewatched most of season 6. Mary is unbearable and looks absolutely awful during the season. I have to applaud Michelle Dockery for playing Mary’s terrible side so unapologetically, she really made me hate Mary. Mary‘s only good side this season is that she really is kind to the staff and her bond with Tom. His disappoint at her behavior toward Edith really hit hard.
I never realized how eager he was for Mary to get with the car sales man. He really liked him and wanted to be his friend immediately he was even his best man!

While I felt for Edith and rooted for her to marry the rich guy, I still thought it was cruel she took the child she gave away, back from not one, but two families. How was it possible that only Robert of all people understood the pain inflicted on the poor farm family she had used. I know she was in a tough situation with her baby, but this seemed super harsh.

Always loved Anna, but by season 6 I couldn’t stand her nor Bates anymore the way she was always afraid to upset him was terrible.
Ok this sounds like I hate the season, I don’t really it’s still all so enjoyable and they must have had an enormous budget, every episode looks like a movie!

3rd movie coming!!

I was truly excited about this as it’s such a comfort show and I absolutely love it, but then I remembered the end of the second film I’m not sure I can watch it without Maggie and her Dowager one liners that literally make the whole thing!! Sad times indeed.

It will be so strange without her! It was the right time for the character to go though I think. She was amazing wasn’t she. My favourite scene with her is when she sat on the swivel chair in Matthew’s office. Makes me laugh every time.
