Some women are obsessed with being a bride and weddings. Being a bride-to-be is like an achievement & I know plenty of women that put the pressure on to get engaged then act surprised they were asked. I’d say her ex felt that pressure from her & so did this new guy.
nothing wrong with her moving on quickly and it’s great she’s happy , and any couple that meet in early/mid thirties generally move faster… But still surprised both her and the ex have new fiancés in such a short time! Don’t understand how the ex got himself a new fiancé after the scandal would have been everywhere.
