Has anyone seen Snatched? It broke my heart. A woman in Liverpool’s children were kidnapped by her husband and taken back to his home village in Bosnia. She goes there to track them down, and even finds them and the children don’t even recognise her. So so heartbreaking.

This rings a bell i think I saw a shortened version on Facebook. Is it 2 daughters and she didn't meet them again until they were adults? Or is that a different one?

A lot of Louis Theroux ones stick in the mind, for different reasons. The one where he goes to a brothel in the USA, makes me feel so, so sad for the women there who do their best to pretend they enjoy it but clearly don't. And the one where he meets porn stars, the young lad who has to do male porn looks so upset about it... Then on the opposite side of LT docs, there's the classic UFO/alien hunter one which will make me laugh forever.

Then on Channel 4 there was Murder In The Car Park which is truly an eye opener about the UK press and the police force.

She tracked them down in Bosnia, but because of some law loopholes the British embassy couldn’t help. So she saw them, played in the snow with them and they didn’t even recognise her. She then had to go back to England, not sure if she ever saw them again 😢

I see the similarities between them and the Phelps family ("the most hated family in America"). From what I can see the girls grew up and renounced the racism. As it goes the book by the lassie that left the Phelps family - Unfollow: A Journey from Hatred to Hope, leaving the Westboro Baptist Church - was very well written and a good insight into the how and why the group is the way it is.

I’ve literally stumbled across an old documentary today on YouTube. I watched it back in 1999 when my daughter was a baby. It was about two teenage sisters that were pregnant aged 15 and 16, both with the same due dates. They were called Miranda and Charlene and were from Somerset

I'm not sure how many pornstar ones LT met or if it was all one show, but one part still sticks in my mind, made me feel sick, so the ladies did what they did for the 'scenes' and at the end they were expected to service the men. One is giving O s*x and one can been seen on top of the director or whoever he was. Made me feel sad, they had already more than worked for their money and seemed they had no choice it was all part of the contract. I have no issue with adult films if that's what people choose to do but I'd doubt those girls chose that part.

There was another documentary I remember about pornstars on channel 4 years ago, a woman had gone to america to get work in the industry there and was clearly being pushed into things she was uncomfortable with and had at first refused to do, at one point the interviewer stepped in to basically protect her, very uncomfortable watching. Anyone else remember this?

I remember watching this and yet I can never remember what the documentary was. I just know she was so young and vulnerable and being so relieved when he said something

Was it the one called Hardcore? There's an article about it here https://thefword.org.uk/2001/04/hardcore/

I’d heard of this one before so just googled it again. I’ve never actually seen it but have just seen a comment on YouTube that the lady they were following committed suicide in 2008. I don’t know if it’s true but how sad if it is, especially as her whole reason for getting into the industry was for her daughter.
