The documentary about the NYC firemen that was being made when 09/11 happened. Could only watch it once, still haunts me

If this is the one I was thinking of, it’s called 9/11 and is by two French brothers the Naudet brothers. I was going to post the link but I can’t find it on YouTube anymore. It’s definitely worth watching if anyone can find it though. They are the only people to film the first plane hitting the tower, found a clip (skip to about 1 min)

The Zero Hour documentaries are very good:

Very sad but Hillsborough documentaries: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=nCxQyAVCMns

The Bradford Football fire:https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ANPML8e-f30

*NSFW* Station Nightclub Fire: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=uHkDhfvuKh4
Shorter clip: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=bknYdprA9ug

I have so many. I'll start with the sad ones.

I remember a BBC3 doc about these kids in a psychiatric ward. One girl was named Beth and she had anorexia. I was suffering at the time too so really stuck with me. She was a dancer and had to quit cause she was allowed to exercise. She had a YouTube video I think where she talks about it. She must be in her early twenties now so I hope she's doing ok.
Beth is doing great and is a qualified nurse now. She is on Instagram and Twitter under her full name Bethany Whittaker

I watched a video of that last one completely unaware of what it was. I’ve never forgotten it. The people desperately stuck in the door because so many people were trying to escape at the same time ☹️ (I think it’s the same one but can’t bring myself to watch it again to check).

I remember watching a documentary in 2007 about a 14 year old girl called Kizzy who became a young mum at 14 years old, father wasn't interested but she was able to make a life for herself and the baby and met a new guy who was good with her and the baby.

Wish there had been a follow up but I found her on Facebook a couple years ago and she had another child but wasn't with the guy in the film as far as I could see

Another documentary i saw was about a young lady who had cystic fibrosis and she was due to go on a date but ended up in hospital with problems and the mum contacted the date who went to see her in hospital and they became a couple, the documentary followed her progress whilst she waited for a lung transplant she very nearly died but she got the transplant, I've not been able to find anything relating to it for any updates, hope she's well

Not a documentary but Emily Hayward on YouTube. I followed all her videos until she passed away and both me and my mum cried a lot when she did die. Think it was watching her go from fit and healthy to slurring and getting ‘slow’ and almost being in denial about it...her next video was her wife talking about her passing it was so sudden. She still pops into my head quite often, I follow her wife on Instagram, she has a baby now and bought a house. She would be so proud.

Also, the recent Rob Burrows one, never heard of him but I cried and cried and cried at that!
I loved watching Emily and still go back on and watch her video,s now. Still miss her , she was an amazing young lady

Emily dying was just horrendously sad. Her poor wife just loved her so so much it’s heartbreaking. Didn’t realise she had now had a baby that’s lovely for her! Did she end up with a new partner?

What about the Meerkat Dynasty’s? Watched the new one earlier makes me dead sad when they fight and disown each other 🥺

It would be the same one, it’s horrible to watch but it spreads so much awareness of how fast fires can get out of control that it’s worth watching, especially if you go to clubs, etc. It’s made me always want to have an exit plan if I went anywhere like that again. Its horrible you watched it without knowing what it was though, that’s why I put the NSFW warning☹️

Is Emily’s baby their baby together? I assumed they went through a fertility journey together but not sure as I didn’t follow closely. I cried a lot watching the video her wife made for her too 😭

I remember that one very well, grim
Yeh.. I started watching it imagining these children/babies were kidnapped or something... but... I don't have children but have no idea how you could put your own child through this (or anyone else's really). Wouldn't do it to my pets. Vile. Very interesting/shocking though I would recommend. Is still on iplayer

That’s one episode I just couldn’t watch.

Blackfish - first watched it years ago now and it broke my heart a little bit, seen it a few times now and still makes me feel the same.

Fear of 13 - Weird one this and a bit over dramatised in places about a guy who spent many years on death row.

Last breath - deep sea dive gone wrong.
I’m watching blackfish its on Netflix atm , I’m a big animal lover so a hard watch yet so eye opening thanks for the recommendation

It was me that brought up The Family, I got my DVD out tonight on my birthday Eve & am re-watching all the episodes sharing profiteroles with my dog (I eat the chocolate bits & she gets the cream at the end). It’s crazy that Jess got married during this and Jane turned 40 and now Jane is 50 and Jess has been married 11 years I think! Those female genes are so strong in that family, all the kids look like Jane and Jess’s children look like Jess - gorgeous family!
PS: I got my dvd years ago & I think they’ve stopped selling them now & it’s really hard to find the episodes - anyone know how I could upload them if anyone wants to watch?

Is this the series where the mum was always screeching “Emily!” at the top of her voice? 😄
