Des (three part Dennis Nilsen dramatisation, ITV)

I'll probably watch it soon. Seen most documentary about Dennis Neilson, disgusting man. It's a shame the crimes were ignored due to the homophobic police force, it's similar to what happened with Jeffrey Dahmer, the police allowed a fourteen year old boy to be allowed back in the home of Dahmer and ended up being a victim.

There was already a thread on this

I think Jason Watkins is often underrated as an actor.
He was superb when he played Christopher Jefferies.
Yes he was, that was an excellent series, must admit, my first thought about him was guilty.
Haven't watched Des yet, have read about Dennis Neilson over the years, so will binge watch the series over weekend.

I first saw him many years ago in Being Human and since then I have always rated him as an actor. He's brilliant 😀

he is amazing in everything and agree so underrated! I hope he starts to get the recognition he deserves. He also seems like a lovely guy! Sad when I read about his daughter who died of sepsis
Oh I didn't know that about his daughter, what a shame 🙁

I really enjoyed this. Can highly recommend Masters book, I read it years ago when I was a bit obsessed with serial killers. My husband was working round the corner from Nilsons house in Muwell Hill, said there was someone living there. I couldn't do that 🙈

I also read the book years ago.

I am always curious as to what drives someone to be a serial killer. Obviously Nilsen’s childhood impacted on his emotional development and this was the awful result. 😱😱

I couldn’t live in a house in which someone had been brutally murdered. It would always be on my mind and I could never relax.

This was incredible. David Tennant was fantastic.
he really is a fabulous actor and really lovely bloke too.

When filming United part of it was filmed in my cousins back street, he saw she was in and asked to use the loo. He realised her two sons were massive Dr. Who fans and the following day he delivered so much memorabilia and signed the majority of it. He popped in to see the boys a few times after school too so he could meet them.
That’s a person grateful to be doing the job they’re doing and knowing how to thank their fans. He’s just amazing at anything he puts his hand to.

I first saw David Tennant years ago in Casanova and was very impressed by him. Casanova was written by Russell T Davies who was so impressed with him he wanted him to play the Doctor when he went on to be the writer for Doctor Who 😀

Wow, what a lovely gesture. He sounds like a really nice person.

David Tennant really is such a talented actor and he was incredible as Dennis Nilsen.
