It’s a lazy way for demi to pretend that the dogs are getting exercise even though she’s just stuffing a ton of treats into a mat. I bet she doesn’t even bother to walk the dogs in the morning or evening when it’s cooler - she will use the weather as an excuse not to do anything with them.is it weird that i’d never heard of enrichment play for dogs before demi? my dog is 5 and she’s always had her toys and 3 walks a day and is perfectly trained. but demi seems to be obsessed with these “snuffle mats” but i think it’s cos she treats them like they’re actual children and i’m also concerned about how many walks they even get in a week. she needs to realise that booking a field isnt sufficient or exciting for them
She doesn’t walk them when it’s not hot, so they’ve got duck all chance now. It’s a lazy way for demi to pretend that the dogs are getting exercise even though she’s just stuffing a ton of treats into a mat. yeah like surely enrichment play isn’t needed for this long? i totally agree with you, the best enrichment is new sights and smells rather than the same field everyday where they’re just running backwards and forwards the whole timeShe doesn’t walk them when it’s not hot, so they’ve got duck all chance now.
Enrichment play is good for them but it’s important you use their food allowance rather than just loading them up with treats otherwise they’re gonna end up fat as duck. They’d get far more mental stimulation from regular walking taking in sights and smells etc.
Enrichment play is important regardless of your dogs age. Most dogs get their fill of enrichment from going on walks though. I do enrichment activities with both of mine (11 months and 6 years) as it keeps them mentally stimulated. But I would never do it as a replacement for regular exercise like that lazy boar does.yeah like surely enrichment play isn’t needed for this long? i totally agree with you, the best enrichment is new sights and smells rather than the same field everyday where they’re just running backwards and forwards the whole time
I genuinely don’t get how she can wear so many layers during a heatwave in LondonThis poor bloke looks absolutely thrilled to be in such close proximity to sweaty Demi x
