I usually really like growing family on a budget. Lately all she has been doing is spending money & now she’s applying for a careers payment thru Centrelink. Does anyone know if you can get that for more than one child? They definitely aren’t struggling and would be getting quite a bit off of the government and her partner does cash in hand jobs too.
Wait…why does she get a carer’s payment??

has 6 children willingly, already has several that require a lot of additional therapies/medical needs, posts about partner doing cash jobs (not against a cash in hand side hustle) posts about applying for carers allowance through centrelink and ordering pizza for dinner in same sentence 🤦🏻‍♀️

She obviously knows how to work the system!!

2,500 a fortnight give or take, if she gets carers payment ontop of family tax benefit. Im sure her hubbys wage isnt huge so it wouldnt effect her centerlink to much. Unbelievable
Wow I thought it was a lot but not that much. I don’t earn that much working 😂
Plus a little tax time bonus…
plus the 720 per kid if you earn less than 80,000 a year. It’s crazy money & they are living quite comfortably

I knew they were living comfortably when they brought a fkn pug as a pet. But this is alot of money, yet she claims they are going to be very tight once their mortgage rate thing (im a renter lol) ends, i dont know how…

She would be in a fixed rate at the moment, a very low one. Probably something like 3% so it’ll jump to 6-7% when it ends which means they’ll be paying double or triple the amount for their repayments of what they pay now hence why lots of rents have been increased this year because mortgage holders are struggling to afford to live just like renters are struggling too.

But why did she buy a dog when they could have saved the money. I don’t get how people say they have no money but spend all their money on unnecessary stuff! It doesn’t make sense.

The pug baffled me. A breed that is WELL KNOWN to have multiple health issues. Plus the special food they have to eat. And having such young children and picking a dog breed with such a short life expectancy.

It’s just irritates me how they say they are on one income. No you aren’t. You receive a supplemented income from the government. We truly live on one income & receive no money from the government and it’s hard. Yet you have people in the debt free community saying how they are saving so much or paying down huge debt payments, but not saying the are also receiving government assistance

Yes they used to say “recipe from Recipe Tin” and she would tag their Instagram account but now just posts the recipes and pretends they are hers because she tweaked two ingredients

So bad!

And she’s going to make thousands from her e book which is just stolen recipes.
I was surprised she posted one recently and the caption said “inspired by Recipe Tin” I don’t think she tagged her though

I assume because her son has ADHD and is autistic but I’m not sure. I know she has another 1 or 2 children with it so I’m unsure if she gets it for them too.
I don’t think ADHD qualifies for carer payment. Might get carer allowamce? My youngest has ASD and as a true single income family (with a small business that didn’t make a great deal of money), we didn’t qualify for it as the carer payment is means tested. Carer allowance is not means tested, and is about $125 a fortnight. It used to cover my son’s therapies that weren’t govt funded.
a lot of initial carer payment applications are knocked bank and you need to redo it. But it is backdated to initial claim date so if it does get approved, it’s a nice little boost of funds!
Its designed to allow a parent to stay at home and/or be fully available as a carer.

She already stays home & has said she plans on doing it until the youngest is in school. I’m not mad about any getting the payment. I know what it’s used for. My problem was she already receives a lot of money & her husband does side gigs as well. She’s constantly spending money it just comes across as greedy and an “oh well if I’m entitled to” it attitude. I also need to pay for my kids therapies as we aren’t entitled to any assistance from Centrelink as we “earn” to much. Literally like a couple hundred above the threshold. I just feel like she’s using the system a bit. At Christmas time she went and got food hampers she really didn’t need. It just leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Absolutely. With all those very young children she would be getting quite a bit of government assistance. I “chose” to stay home until my youngest was in full-time school and then only worked part time for the first few years of school. But, I didn’t use the system and plaster it all over the internet.
The cash jobs things really gets on my nerves! Especially when she used to drive him because he didn’t drive. I feel we hear a whole lot less about those cashies now that he does drive, and he is obviously more able to do them.
