Why does she make each lunchbox a day ahead? She isn’t saving any time because she is still making a lunchbox every, single day? I mean, all it has in it is processed garbage anyway, it’s hardly going to take her more than 5 minutes to put together while she does their breakfast.
Yep exactly, imagine how soggy and stale it’ll be the next day anyway, I make my kids lunch boxes for school the morning of as it only takes 2 mins to pack

I feel bad talking about OO as she’s strange, rather than really problematic (she doesn’t even really do ads?). But.

I don’t get it. Live a little! You’re not saving anytime preparing tomorrow’s lunch at 7am?! If you did today’s lunch that early, you’d still be ahead! Be in the moment!! There’s no reason for this?!

OO are you organising your life or is your life organising you? I feel like she’s a slave to routines and with the making of lunches, dinners prepared well in advance…it would not be saving time - not if you’re doing it every single day. These routines seem more born out of anxiety and control rather than any real time saving benefit.

She seems like a friend of mine that has to have structure and routine in everything, with things organised months in advance and if things don’t go to plan, she has trouble coping. Life won’t ever fit a rigid plan; I just think this way of living invites resentment down the track when you realise how much time you’ve spent on menial, boring things. What happens when the kids are older and can prepare their own lunches, will she allow it or have this innate need to be in control?

I can’t imagine this woman relaxes - ever.

Hey now, she’s just come into an unexpected windfall - a whole box of Cadbury favourites. Of course she is making the most of this opportunity to turn it into several scabby gifts.
It’s just so cringe, isn’t it. I totally understand being frugal, I grew up poor and hey- by most standards still am poor! But how about making a nice batch of home made jam or Xmas shortbread etc for gifts that are from the heart and inexpensive? That’s what my mother did for our neighbours and teachers etc. I bet she didn’t give the neighbour anything in return! She really is an odd one.

Hey! You know what’s a great gift for a 16year old?
A game that encourages excessive consumption of alcohol that she is not legally allowed to drink….

I smell a teenage pregnancy and or addiction in the future at this rate!

What the duck. This is the worst gift to give a 16 year old. Like seriously, have some brains OO!!! And didn’t she just do grocery shopping on Monday when they got back from their holiday, why is she grocery shopping again?

It be one thing if she was making 2-3 days worth in one go to save herself actual time over the next few days but she is doing them day by day so there is no difference to her “work load” if she is doing them every day 🤷🏻‍♀️
Honestly what she packs her husband she could pack a weeks worth on Sunday it’s all so highly processed it would stay “fresh” for weeks.
