Those views are frankly bleeping pathetic Dan lets be honest. I genuinely reckon the thought process for the adoption (from him, not Con) was it would help grow his channel. Nope. And no you cant trade him in now for a Starbucks instead.

I think he thinks he is intelligent and understands all these things. I run my own business with consultants and we often have to deal with visa requirements for work overseas for team members so I know about some of the types of visa - he basically has two options as I’m assuming given that he runs his own businesses in the U.K. that he would go down that route:

E2 non immigrant visa - basically by buying/investing in a US company which he will run - not only does that not have permanent residency green card options, but if the business fails you have no right to remain. it’s considered a temporary visa - also any dependent minors become ineligible to remain and age out so would have to return to the U.K when they become adults.

EB-5 immigrant investor - have to invest to create a business which maintains 10 people in employment coupled with investment of $1.8million (or $900k in socially challenging areas). Then you can apply for conditional residency, and only after 2 years of evidencing that the conditions have been met can you request that the conditions can be removed from the application and permanent residency explored.
