I apologise profusely to him if this is not the case but I have a feeling he was fired if the show didn't mention him. None of the other cast members or pros have commented on his post either which is also a sign. TBH, when they say "personal reasons", I do get suspect. A similar situation happened once on the French version years ago and it turned out that the pro's girlfriend was jealous.

Especially since Maurizio was so excited to dance with Brooke in those first few weeks, I don't believe he'd go of his own accord for the rest of the series unless something really serious has happened.

Fully agree with this. Something defo happened.
 
Were they the bottom three couples or is just a random two couples along with the couple voted out? (Sorry to ask a stupid question!)

Honestly I think despite everything that happened tonight won't be forgotten in the coming weeks, Twitter is absolutely slating her and the judges and I don't think it'll be too favourable in the future.

She did have 2 good dances previously so maybe the good judges scores weighted that in her favour? I'm sure if it was down to tonight alone she'd be gone but I definitely think all her likeability (if there was any) is gone now.
