Haven't watched yet but was thinking about it earlier and fully expected that result.
A bit silly on my part I know, without seeing the performances of any of them tonight. 😁
She just didn't seem to connect with the public, I think.
 
Ekin just wasn't equipped for proper TV. She's up against actors, singers and sports people. People who from a young age would have attended auditions or competitions and got knocked back. They have resilience. Ekin thought she could rely on LI popularity. It's actually really off putting when she is so sulky at bad feedback. She didn't come across as likeable at all.

That's a good point about the fact that most of the others most likely have had to face criticism and knock backs in their careers since they were young.

I really like Colin, I must say. He seems like a lovely guy.
 
Ekin-Su was supposedly an actor in a Turkish soap before she went into LI so she should have been thru auditions etc.
I think her main downfall was thinking just because she was popular enough to win LI then that would carry her through this. Regardless of being a bit shite. 🤣
 
I think Ekin Su was probably so upset because she is trying to get famous! Everyone else has their careers and are known for it, so doing this Dancing on Ice is just a bonus thing to do, a bit of fun or whatever. Ekin has only been in public eye since the summer and although she won Love Island, she’s not well known, she’s only known to people who watched that. So she is desperately trying get herself out there and become a celebrity but it hasn’t worked as she can’t skate very well…. So she will be more gutted that she’s not gonna be a household name rather than the fact that she’s not gonna be skating every week lol

I think we could have accepted her being rubbish at skating if she’d been a bit more gracious. A high percentage of most of the contestants aren’t good at skating but do the best they can. I was a real fan of Ekin Su on Love Island and was pleased she won but she’s been nothing but miserable on DOI. They always have a Love Island contestant on the show these days, they should have picked more carefully, there were a couple of dancers amongst the contestants on LI last year, was surprised at the time they didn’t choose one of them .. hey ho.

Tasha would have handled this worse than Ekin did. Danica would have been good though
