Neither do I.

The 2021 series still sticks in my mind. He had a face on him like a slapped arse most of the time and was so sour to some of the contestants. He should have been reminded, imo, that it's supposed to be a light entertainment show, not death row.

On the plus side - Barrowman is gone.

I agree, even the best skaters are producing meh dances. That Bohemian Rhapsody skate was appalling, didn't relate to the music at all and ended oddly. That's just a random example of how shite it is compared to the old days when the choreo worked, even for the rubbish skaters. It's like everyone has given up.

Testament to that has to be that it is "Dance" week next week. Isn't that what they're supposed to do every week?! What's next, "Skating" week?!
 
I do think Nile, Viv and Carley have the potential to be really good skaters as the weeks go on but it's wether or not I can be bothered to watch tbh. I recorded and fast forwarded through all the waffle (and Darren and Siva)and just watched the skating and the scores. It's definitely lost its sparkle and the fact there is no actual A list celebrity taking part makes it less watchable imo.
 
What happened to the pros Angela, Karina & Joe? Two of the 3 won the last two series but I’ve not noticed them so far this year? Were they dropped? 😳

None of them are there this year. Maybe they weren't all axed but some of them likely were - based on what happened to Alex Murphy & Hamish, the show only seems to want Vanessa and the remaining OG pros to have any sort of recognition with the public.

It's a very watered down version of what it was at its peak these days.

Yeah I have the Dancing on Ice DVD that consists of highlights from series 1 to 5 and back then you can tell how much better it was as they weren't overmarked, the choreography was more suitable for the celebrity as they focused on what weaknesses they had and improved them and the judges feedback was much better as they went into proper detail whereas they don't do this anymore.

Angela is touring in an ice show and Karina and Joe are in New York skating.

I think a lot of them only ended on the show because of covid and their own shows closing down - cirque etc.
