The NHS hasn't been able to cope or manage properly for years and years, being up tit creek without a paddle is nothing new for our health service. I couldn’t agree more. The NHS wasn’t fit for purpose to start off with, it’s nothing short of an embarrassment how this has been handled. If it was a pandemic that truly crippled most of society, we’d all be fucked no questions asked.

What really annoys me is the hypocritical vitriol I’ve received from nearly everyone in my life for not having the vaccine. Now don’t get me wrong, I fully appreciate it’s an extremely emotive subject and firmly believe EVERYONE is entitled to their opinion either way (and most importantly, their own choice!), but it’s beggars belief how much the “protect the vulnerable, you are so selfish if you don’t have it” or “omg it’s so scary, even young you’ll probably die!” narrative that came from ALL these people has now become “I only had it to get my life back”.

I mean I’m no fool, I knew from the start that was the reason, but I don’t see any apologies as to the bullying tit they sent my way when in reality, all they wanted was Costa and Benidorm. Do what you’ve gotta do, but do it honestly.

Then I'll take charge.

But really, they get defeated, go away and back to the drawing board, come up with another half arsed scheme and try again.
 
Couldn't even be arsed watching as it would just annoy me too much. We knew the outcome anyway. Well, looks like Covid will go quieter in the news for a few weeks until they need to soften the nation up for a further extension. Can see some big protests going down in London and elsewhere on Saturday
 
I’m so fricking cross. I WANT RIOTS! (I’m joking, though I’m kinda not)

I work for the NHS, mostly in an Outpatient setting, but I’ve been on the wards, I’ve cared for COVID patients, I’ve had it myself and was very poorly.
I will never discredit how lethal it is. But today; only 3 COVID DEATHS were recorded in the UK. THREE!!!!!

I, and my colleagues are completely exasperated. Our service has been hugely affected. And as a result some of those we care for have not had the treatment they truly needed, and our now in a far worse a place diagnostically.

I cant take this.

They can’t keep saying ‘we have to live with it’ and get on with it etc etc then herd us all back into a full lockdown every month or so

5 people will have died on our roads today. No one wants to grind our economy and lives to a halt to protect us from traffic.

This is rubbish. I am angry and fed up. I wish all the people who say "meh" and don't care, who think life is normal and OK would go and hang out at a rally and hear the stories from real people, stand opposite them and see if you still feel meh about it all. We are all the same underneath this, I do believe humans are fundamentally good and decent people but this hasn't been good or decent for so many people. It makes me really sad that we've become so "my life is normal and it is OK never mind anyone else"
 
I’m still gonna get the vaccine and wear my mask indoors (for the time being) but I’m nearing the end of my tether with this nonsense now. I don’t know what Boris & co are thinking, whether they’re just incompetent or if they’re totally set on decimating the economy even further but I can’t go along with this anymore, there’s no justifiable reason for it in my opinion.

The symptoms for this new variant are suspiciously similar to a common cold or hayfever. People can’t just isolate because they don’t know if their hayfever is actually covid. Not to minimise the symptoms of either, but if that’s as bad as symptoms get then why the hell aren’t we opening up properly already? Most of the vulnerable are vaccinated now, unlikely anything bad would happen if they were to get the ‘new varient’, I think? Anyone who still doesn’t feel safe should be allowed to isolate/wear mask/do what ever they need to but the rest of us should be allowed to carry on as normal now. It’s taking the piss, covid isn’t going anywhere. Stop trying to make 0 covid happen.

I remember when I thought in March 2020, oh it’s only 3 weeks to ease the NHS, we’ll be back to normal in no time 🤡🤡🤡

I got the impression from Whitty they’ve come as far as they can with it in preserving life and he’s basically letting people know there’s nothing else they can do, after July we’re on our own .

It's like how the flu miraculously disappeared this winter just gone. Not a single case when there's usually 10000s. It's actually laughable but I'm too mad to laugh now lol
