I’m feeling a bit tearful and depressed this evening.

I am wondering if this nightmare will ever end and if I can ever do normal things again without fear. I had to shield last time and had an email a couple of days ago from the Department of Health and Social Care telling me not to go to the shops, pharmacy or to work.

I’ve honestly had enough of it all now. 😢

Here we go 🎅

Ive had such a good day today as I said earlier. We even went out for a long crisp evening walk which was lovely.
Then ive just been listening to some of my fave songs from artists that ive seen live and had a cry (was like this during lockdown 1) 🙄
Just the memories of going to concerts with my brother and seeing our favourite artists live!! Its just one of my BEST things to do and it just feels like I'll never be in an arena full of people singing my heart out again 😒

This is one thing that I'm really missing too. I'm always at gigs and absolutely live for music so the thought of never seeing a band live again is just heartbreaking

Anyone else feel like this lockdown is not affecting their life in the slightest?! 🤣 I work in a school and I’m exhausted from this week. About to drag myself up to bed.
Yeah isn’t effecting us really at all especially since the kids are still in school/childcare. Working as normal, we always spend our weekends together doing mainly outdoorsy things so that’s not changed. Only thing I miss is softplay!

Yeah soft play my step daughter 'that's where we used to go before the germs. I miss there because its cold in park".
Now we cant use park equipment, its back to me playing the dog in a game of fetch. 😂 won't play catch because I'm scared of hitting her with ball like her dad did. her mum wouldn't let him see her or talk to her for 6 days because of this accident.

And in other more important news.

Oh no I love cafe Nero it's my fave.

In really worried about Denmark why the feck we allowing borders stay open with Denmark you can fly anywhere from Copenhagen.
Although other articles say some farm workers eastern European already left and some eastern European countries how high rates.
Also said mink farms 3 in republic of ireland some in Spain and some in Netherlands are they at greater risk.
Mentioned potential cross others speecies sorry be dense I had no idea what a civet or wolverine was.
Uk has would mink so doubt we get close to them.
This news aboit chickens and bird flu worrying.

Had awful day yesterday where stress and tiredness got to to me.
The kids argued and made mess.
I might go shops for An hour by myself today.
Wondering how big queue be b&m.

The postive case my child's bubble was part of trial no symptoms.
Awaiting cornona test result for child 2.
Child 1 not been in school as kept home this week has more cases diffrent year group once again only close contacts crap they have no idea Who they sat next to on the bus there and back.
New guidance seems whole bubbles not shutting at secondary schools yet primary sending home whole classes.

Anyone know how long tests are actually taking to turn around at the moment? Had my test Thursday evening and was told up to 48 hours... is this realistic, or am I going to spend my birthday stuck in my house 😂

No matter which way you look at this, Covid 19 will affect everyone in one way or another.
It's already costing me money, mainly in fuel, I've had to "buy" more mileage on my insurance
which will probably go up when it's up for renewal.
Absolutely. Prices rises are everywhere already. Supermarkets are a good example. My weekly food shop is costing nearly double what it used to. Partly because of prices rises in general but also because of reduced supply of some items, meaning only branded products are available and also because the larger volumes of products (butter for instance) aren't been produced, so only the smaller ones, which are more expensive per g/kg etc are stocked.
The cost of living is going to skyrocket for everybody.

Council Tax will be up for a start, in fact a man from our council came to our door on Thursday asking if any lives next door, the neighbour died a few months back and the house is up for sale which means councils are checking empty properties.

I read a news article in the Telegraph a few days ago suggesting that the utility companies (E,G and W) are all making tidy profits in the last 2 quarters, with further profits predicted for the next 2. Chiefly because of the huge surge of people WfH since the start of the pandemic.

No announcements of price increases, which would be hugely unpopular, but it will happen sooner or later, squeezing the poor and low-income earners even more!
