Parenting is hard, moan away, get it out of your system. Just don’t expect praise for doing what you’re supposed to do as a parent anyway without using a pandemic as an excuse. Swear to God, we might as well be seals with all the clapping we’re being told to do. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Yes I agree ! my 7yr old has developed a teenage atitude today ..safe to say I could hang him out the fkn window with the two ankles ( but that's what makes me a good parent ,because some would just let go )it's def not sunshine all the time x
God I can relate to that feeling.

Got no time for the perfect parent brigade it’s hard enough without being told I can’t have the odd moan about my own kids lol.

Yes exactly. I certainly don’t expect a medal or a clap or what ever but it IS harder than usual at the moment, relentless actually.

Think it’s gonna be our spirit animal when this is all over anyway

So last night while my sister was walking her dog she goes round the back of her house which is a school sports complex and it cuts through takes her back to her house so last night .. she went last night except to be met by about 5 -7 people on bikes ( keeping social distance ) and one person placing packages in bags for them ... home delivery service for the junkies of our town ..

Aww don't talk! he's going from TikToking to climbing the walls like Spiderman ,atm he's doing the best Dick Van Dyke impression I've ever seen to something he's watching on YouTube ....yes it is relentless atm and I can relate when people have a moan ...It's a good job that's all we're doing (moaning) some kids won't be so lucky and some parents won't be so lenient :(

It wasn't @Alightened getting rid of her flour was it 😁

I disagree everyone, including parents need a good moan every now and then.

It’s raining here today so mine are bouncing off the walls and it’s doing my head in. I’m not going to pretend it’s bleeping sunshine and rainbows every day and that doesn’t make me a bad parent nor do I need to ‘look at myself’.

I’m not saying parents can’t moan, I was referring to the post someone had put up about a mum wanting a clap for herself for looking after her own kids! Sorry I should have quoted it!

I also never said it was sunshine and rainbows every day and I’m also not a perfect parent! There are good days and bad days to being a parent. But if your child is a little tit every day that’s different!

Hope that makes it clearer, I’m not bashing anyone apart from the person who wrote that meme wanting praise for looking after her own kids! x

I understand sorry if I sounded a bit snappy or rude, it’s been a particularly trying day in my house so far and tempers are getting short so I may have misinterpreted what you meant and took it more personally than I otherwise would have x

Not at all, I wouldn’t want anyone to take it personally, that was definitely not my intention at all!
Sorry you’re having a trying day! Hope it improves!
