Update on what each cubical looks like within the Excel Centre in London.
Unbelievable what they've created in such a short space of time.
Said it before, I'll say it again..I am SO glad I'm in the UK.

This is if you need a resperator, the camp beds in the main area are where most people will be. If you get to here, you are in deep shite TBH

I don't trust the Chinese numbers- also read an article that Japan started reporting case numbers properly only after the Olympic games had been moved back to next year.
Sounds plausible

I was also thinking that's the image they want to show you. You won't know what the rest of them look like.

I have a cousin who is a junior doctor in Ireland. Two of his colleagues have also been diagnosed. He phoned his parents almost a week ago telling them to stay at home.

Hardly an “excuse”, there will be no choice. The country will be in so much debt what else could they do?
It is our children that will be worse off. They couldn’t get on the property ladder before this, after they will have no chance. Uni debt and high taxes, I’m glad I’m not that generation.

Not to mention we will still have Brexit to get through. Still the same thing = survival of the richest.

How are online supermarkets making the vulnerable people a priority, how do the know who’s vulnerable regardless of age? What classes you as vulnerable?if you’re in receipt of PiP? Or a letter from your Gp saying you’re vulnerable?

They can access the government database of the 1.5 million that are listed as vulnerable and if they are already an online customer of said supermarket they will contact them and give them priority online shopping slots.

The govt database is for people with certain conditions only.

Well it gets confusing on here as people keep saying 'vulnerable'. The vulnerable list are the 1.5 million who the Government wrote to that should be shielding for 12 weeks meaning they can't go out AT ALL. The rest of us are allowed to the shops. Apart from those who live in remote areas and can't get to the shops, then I understand online ordering but I wouldn't look for a slot as I live near a row of shops and quite a lot of nearby supermarkets.

Does anyone know the number of deaths in Italy and Spain today?

My husband is still expected to work in a non essential factory and won’t furlough their employees, it’s so annoying, he’s been told if he self isolates (which he has to because I have symptoms) that he will only get SSP, it’s just ludicrous, I do hope BJ bans ALL the non essential businesses being open, as we cannot afford to live on a pittance as a family of 6 and a woofer 🐶

Funny how the guidelines have suddenly changed 🤔 they've taken out the non essential. Husband left work on Tuesday saying he wasn't coming back in for the rest of the week as it wasn't safe and that what they were doing is non essential. Took them as holidays. Went back in today boss spat his dummy out and told him to go home as he dared to question him last week. Joke.

it is strange isn’t it? I often say to my friends I feel like I’m watching in through the looking glass and I don’t feel like I’m in it!
I wonder if this is what it felt like WW2, we always learnt about the big huge landmarks in history, but paid little attention to the every day life that they experienced.
the rationing, the listening out for the words from the PM, the sense that it might never end. The threat was just a very different type to the one we have today 🤷🏻‍♀️

Yes,really strange, it’s like living someone’s else’s life to an extent. I am no fan of social media, I don’t have Facebook, instagram, I havent even joined a WhatsApp group. It’s just not my bag. I stumbled across this forum to read up on the Phillip Schofield gossip (sad but true) and now I very much enjoy reading this thread and contributing as and when. It feels like a little online community of people (mostly) getting along, exchanging views and opinions and a healthy dose of humour thrown in for good measure. I am genuinely interested in what people are saying and experiencing and it will be very strange to look back to this thread when it’s all over and think , what a moment in time that was.

Report your husband's company to the council/government/police and they will be forced to close. Disgusting behaviour on their part putting profits before health
