Had to google this - it does seem like there are companies that can test for the 2 different things! The ONS one literally only had "Tested positive for antibodies" so no idea what that meant for mine then.

Oh come on this is just getting ridiculous now. Can you still not see how well ingrained the blame narrative is? First it was millenials at fault, then it was the pregnant women now it's the kids. You are literally blaming children for you being at risk for a virus. Kids get sick, adults get sick, viruses spread, that's life and it's a shambles how this pandemic has made people think they can wave the finger. Your age group isn't 'paying the price' for anything.

Honestly, what is it you would like? Covid won't ever go away, people need to accept that. Hell most of the population are double vaxxed and people still aren't satisfied. Do we have to just all be locked up forever? Look how bad the cold that is going around is - we are fully suffering for our decision to imprison our population already.

The fact we live in a world where kids are being (experimentally) vaccinated for something they are at little to no risk of, to 'protect' (very limited actual proof) adults is bleeping sick. But that those same adults would then point the finger? Jesus take the wheel.

Yea you can get them done privately. Most clinics charge a minimum of £99 though you’d have to be desperate to know to pay that😂

I can not get over how many are still falling for this. Actually thinking about it, shouldn't kids be very safe they are about the hight or under of a seated adult in a restaurant 🤣

Remember when older people were being blamed for going out after their jabs because other people hadn't had theirs?

This is getting beyond a joke! No one is to blame for anything. People are relating like its the plague and an automatic death sentence.
Where has logic gone in all this? Whittys message right at the start has been lost - he said the vast majority of people will react like they would with a cold or flu. Yet the scaremongering on the other hand has completely wiped that out.

Getting rid of this will never happen, that it. Deal with it and crack on. At the point we're blaming little Johnny for killing thousands all rational thought has gone out the window. You might as well blame little Johnny for killing thousands every year with the flu or a crappy cold - because that's exactly what happens, it's just the media doesn't guilt people thinking that

The kids in Scotland still have to wear facemasks in classes - I feel so bad for them!! It must be horrible for them to wear them all day 😩
 
I don’t see what testing the kids does, surely no one is surprised it is travelling like wildfire in a senior school. As soon as one gets it, no ones got any chance. This isn’t going to end so what are we meant to do? Stop testing the kids. I guess if they have very vulnerable parents then maybe they should test but by then it could be too late and they have already taken it home.

I am no longer taking any precautions for covid, I was an avid handwasher/sanitiser pre covid so that hasn’t changed for me but if I get it I get it. I’ve jabbed so I cannot do much more, I’m no wearing a mask unless I have to.

Why do people expect us to carry on in this way, this winter is going to be hard enough as it is. Let’s live as normally as we can!

Not to mention the fact there are numerous research articles now showing 30-40% of people have no symptoms *at all*. Imagine how many of us who have had it and never even known/been counted? The already tiny death rate would probably reach a point of utter ridicule in the face of a 'pandemic'.

You are completely right, most people behave like COVID = death, despite the fact even there own biased statistics show 98% of the time that is not the case. Again, not accounting for those who were already ill, elderly etc. The world has gone absolutely batshit crazy. People are scared to even have a cold now, it's like people have forgotten what it is to be human and not bionic - we get sick. If we didn't, we would have no immune function and then where would we bleeping be.

It must be tit having to wear them .I was more touching on the fact Jenny has said they're not a priorty to stop the spread of the virus when we've had it drummed into us for the past year + we're still mandated to wear them here in shops etc.
 
Can't imagine being so selfish that I would want a population of millions of other people's children to receive an experimental vaccine they didn't need, to reduce my already infinitesimally small risk of a virus, to a fraction smaller.

But then, even if it reduced it 90% I wouldn't because I'm not willing to force other people to take healthcare for my benefit. Clearly those of us who feel that way sadly make up a minority these days.
