Her acting is absolutely shocking. So hammy and over the top. The scene last night when she was on the phone to Harvey about Sam was just embarrassing.
I wish they'd let Sharon come back and ingratiate herself back into the street gradually over weeks /months building up to the reveal that she's in cahoots with Harvey. She turned up less than a week ago and has been so full on being everyone's best friend and sticking her nose in that its a wonder people haven't got suspicious. She's so obvious that she's got an agenda, she's just lucky the street's residents are too thick to notice. Even Genius Sam hasn't sussed her out!

And it’s the exact same technique that Debbie did last year. A former resident of the street who has returned after a number of years and started to befriend everybody until it turned out she was in cahoots with Ray, the local villain. Same script, different names.

That should make everybody on the street nervous of Sharon as it has already happened with Debbie only a few months ago

thats true, one old character brought back to work with ray is ok, but two is taking the piss, we will see Albert Tatlocks bones sitting in a chair soon and ray will come in and discuss a plot with them.

I love seeing an old character reappear from time to time or if it's relevant to the plot but bringing back old characters now seems to be more of a gimmick to generate interest more than storyline lead.

I read Catherine Tyldesley was asked to go back to Corrie for the Leanne/Oliver storyline but couldn't make it work with her schedule for filming 'Viewpoint'. That kind of return makes sense to me but randomly bringing back 'Sharon'? Just a gimmick.

The worst part of last nights episode was when Sharon and Sam were in the Platts livingroom and Sharon was dancing. If I was 10 and that happened to me at my 'birthday party' id be like

It was really like drunk old lady dancing. Why is so much screen time given over to her? Are they paying her alot

And yet Janice Battersby was nowhere to be seen when her grandson died. She wasn’t even mentioned. And she’d have been a good character to bring back!

I think Vicky Entwistle isn't on the best of terms with the powers that be at Corrie. She was slagging off the scripts for the Oliver storyline.

They bring back random characters but not when it matters. Jason Grimshaw stayed in Thailand the whole time his mother was involved with Pat Pheelan!!

I do think if an actor leaves and after a certain period of time the actor doesn't return, they need to recast characters . Jason should be recast and so should Zeedan.

I can’t take to the new Todd either, he’s so wooden, I much preferred the old one

Vicky Entwistle is horrible, I met her at a charity event in Manchester she was a snotty witch to people who were trying to get her autograph, (back when that was still a thing before selfies) it was mainly kids and old dears as well. She was still in Corrie at the time and just so rude and had a horrible vibe about her. The charity organiser said she was a last resort as they’d been let down by someone else and she was all they could get but knew what she was like! I don’t think there’s much love lost between her and Jane Danson who seems lovely after the comments about the Oliver storyline

The other Todd could be a tit, but he had charm, likeability and charisma in buckets so he could pull it off.

Bruno Langley was brilliant as Todd. He was one of my favourite characters. Like you say he could be a self serving git but he still remained likeable and charming. The problem was Bruno was never going to be given a second chance so they were left with no choice but to recast.

I'm used to 'new ' Todd but he isn't very likeable at all. Just comes across as nasty.

I loved Jason. He was just a cheeky chap who was a bit dim but loveable. The problem is Ryan Thomas is in no rush to return to Corrie. He even stated not so long ago he had lost interest in acting. Should the character of Jason be forgotten about or should a long standing, central character like Eileen have her family around her? I have no problem with actors taking extended breaks but there does come a time when recasts are necessary.

I have to say the recast of Aadi has been brilliant though. He really is a mini Dev.
