Just seen this, genuinely do t know why they keep him on as a character because he brings absolutely nothing to the table.

How come the whole time Craig and Faye have been in a relationship it’s like they always avoid touching each other it’s a bit weird to watch cause they’re meant to be a couple in the show yet I’ve only seen them kiss once which was in a recent episode but it was the quickest peck it was odd and even when they hug a lot of the time it’s not like a couple it’s like two people who don’t know each other that well who would rather not hug. Then in the episode with Jackson like a month ago him and Faye kissed no problem so did the actors playing Faye and Craig just always feel uncomfortable doing those kind of scenes together or something? I don’t care if they don’t have loving scenes together cause they are boring to watch to be honest but if they’re meant to be a couple then why have they ever really tried to act like one?

That’s how I felt about them. There is absolutely no chemistry between them whatsoever. Faye, in the whole time they’ve been a couple, has never once looked like she even likes him let alone meant to be in love with him. You never saw them being romantic with each other, not even holding hands so their romance never felt real.

I heard the actors are good mates in real life. Maybe they feel more like brother & sister and felt awkward doing any lovey dovey scenes. But then Samatha Womack & Scott Maslen in Eastenders (Ronnie & Jack) have been best mates since they were teenagers but they had no problem doing love scenes

The Faye and Jackson storyline is ridiculous and so rushed. She had a baby with him when she was 12 she was a kid they never were in love , never had a relationship, never have gone on dates besides the kiss in the hotel and they’ve never lived together so they don’t really know each other so this storyline of him coming back and we are expected to believe the two of them are falling for each other is stupid. Yeah they have a daughter together and have spent time together being around their daughter but besides bonding over having a child together where’s the chemistry and connection between them?? If anything Jackson is possessive and controlling out of nowhere acting like he owns Faye and like she owes him loyalty just cause they’ve a daughter together completing ignoring the fact she’s in a relationship.

Faye has been quite sly and nasty too so neither of them come across well but we’re expected to look at her and Jackson as some kind of love story lol. The daughter is spoiled so can be rude and manipulative so if anything it doesn’t seem like a healthy happy family situation. Don’t get me started on Craig the actor who plays him can’t act it’s cringe. Yeah it’s just a soap so things can be rushed and unrealistic sometimes but I think they need to get better writers for the show or better actors cause some of these storylines they have been doing lately are boring and don’t come across well.

Also I don’t get the point of the character Shona I just don’t think she’s a good actress and is kind of pointless but maybe that’s an unpopular opinion I don’t know. I miss the days when coronation street had really good drama and the storylines made you excited for the next episode to come out. I know coronation street is known for wanting to have humour in the show which at times can be good but it would be great if they would do storylines like the old episodes again.
