The official Corrie Facebook is full of people is currently saying how rubbish it is these days. I can only agree. Its no longer watchable for me. The acting is dreadful and the storylines badly written and cliched riddled, its also become completely far fetched. How many serial killers, explosions and disasters can you have in one back street in such a short space of time. Storylines often start with potential but the writers ruin them by taking them to extremes. See Daisy’s cyber stalking, Seb’s murder and Max‘s radicalisation. The Stephen storyline is not only ludicrous its been done before at least twice with Richard Hillman and more recently Pat Phelan, the actor playing Stephen is one of the worst I’ve ever seen anywhere on television. Dreadful. The blame lies solely with ITV for this as they are only interested in headlines and advertising revenue rathed than the quality of the show itself and I can’t see that changing anytime soon sadly.
