I think it's disgusting this type of stuff being allowed. This is the in the same ballpark as a victims previous sexual history being raked over in rape cases IMO
All the BS of take care of your mental health when actually no because clearly there’s still a huge stigma behind. I don’t know any woman who hasn’t at some point had anxiety or low points or been on Lexapro etc But apparently that means you’re an unstable junkie asking for it 🤷‍♀️

It's such an insult to people who have suffered with mental health issues at some stage in their lives. As if we can't tell the difference between sex and rape. Again, I question any woman who likes rough sex to the point that her tampon has to be surgically removed and her bruising is the worst a paramedic has ever seen. What message will this send out to men if he gets away with this, that a woman who likes it rough can be subjected to this level of violence?

This is really compelling testimony

Dr Clarke says Ms Hand has struggled with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) since the incident in December 2018.

He says she had the classic symptoms where people lose hope, hate themselves and start to drink too much.

Asked to explain PTSD, Dr Clarkes says it is caused by an extremely stressful or terrifying event.

It can cause symptoms including flashbacks, nightmares, severe anxiety, intrusive thoughts, upsetting dreams and nightmares.

It was another reason she has not been able to work since May 2019 he says, because the event happened after a work Christmas party - and people in work knew all about it.

He said people in the street were beginning to know about it because of social media which was extremely triggering for her.

Dr Clarke says other symptoms of PTSD include, blame, shame, guilt and memory problems.

He says not remembering aspects of the traumatic event is an important feature of PTSD.

Court on brief break 12.18

Back at 2pm so . . .
---
Remy Farrell trying to bring up her previous anxiety and back pain.
Doctor shut him down saying
" these anxiety symptoms are a totally different thing to PTSD".
He also noted on the previous back pain

" normally people are not standing on their feet all day bending over people and that made Ms Hand's symptoms slower to resolve"

Farrell will not be making much hay from this guy
