In America it’s quite common to have criminal sentencing along side suing for damages. It won’t be long before it’s the same here. Especially considering how awful the courts and sentencing is here.
 
Just wanted to say that we shouldn’t victim blame or make assumptions based off the fact she may be seeking payment.

I have absolutely no doubt he’s raped or attempted to rape her and many others and whatever kind of justice she sees fit for what happened to her is up to her.

As others have said the courts are not even fit for purpose in prosecuting Joe Soap down the road for rape, why do we think it’ll be easy to convict him when after all the stories he has a few driving offences to his name?

What woman that’s been raped thinks about money the next day? Tell me one.

I’m not defending him but some women make it harder to prosecute rapists with actions like going after money 24 hours later.

The focus should be on putting him in jail if it’s true, not getting money.

Atleast calling out the police and the people that have ignored her.

We don't know what she was advised before that statement was written. She might also be fully aware if she were to press charges and it goes to court her life would be dragged through the mud and it's extremely hard to prove anything in these cases when it's her word against his.

I would 100% take the money if I knew I hadn't a chance in court

A woman who lives in a country where as soon as you stub your toe someone’s being sued. I don’t think that anyone can judge this woman’s actions without being in the exact same situation, not that she should be judged by us anyway but I’m sure the point is clear.

I doubt she thought she was going in to be assaulted though! Whether she walked in of her own accord or not, it doesn’t give that little midget scumbag the right to assault her. How his family and fiancée just stand by and carry on regardless is just shocking.
