I don’t understand why she is still moaning about the oven they have been using, when it was well within her gift to buy a cheaper temporary one

She bought a pool for the garden that cost far more , which she hasn’t used this year…so why not buy a oven that would have only cost £300 ish?

Because she doesn't see why she should have to spend her own cash. Her entitlement is off the scale. I think she thought if she held on long enough she'd be gifted the whole kitchen. All of the current "tell me what you think" posts of late are to boost her engagement so once the reno starts she can start approaching companies with evidence of her following and engagement. I don't know why her followers are so unable to see it (except the other instagrifters who knows exactly why she's doing it and comment along to keep the neverending grift circle jerk going) Urgh.

Fair enough then. But postponing renovations just because she can’t be there in person seems madness.

Maybe it's more than if she's not there while the work is going on, she can't post about it and that's her engagement fucked? Also she won't be able to "negotiate" with the contractors if she's not there (i.e. if I film you doing this and tag your company, can I get more of a discount?)

I think this is exactly it! A ‘normal’ person would just explain the situation to the builders, leave them a key so they can come and go as they need to and be available on the phone for any decisions etc. She won’t do that as she’ll need to be there in person to recording a million videos for ‘content’.

Can't imagine any decent and busy builder being too pleased about that short notice delay.

I can't even work out what's going on to be honest and such a scenario that the only option is for Katy alone to relocate to the Canaries for a month and delaying entirely the building work. What about her own children etc? An very unfortunate situation all round for everyone concerned.

I think she does, but if the option was sister, who I assume has a proper job, or her I would expect her to go all else being equal. A horrible situation she finds herself in but at the same time she's fortunate to have the flexibility she does.
