There’s no way these 2 are staying together, far too unhealthy a relationship to last

As far as I am aware the birth mum is down as ‘mother’ on the birth certificate. Even in surrogacy pregnancies.
So Abbie is ‘mother’ and Cole is ‘parent 2’
They both have equal parental responsibilities as would be the same with anyone who is on the birth certificate regardless of circumstances.

ETA: in surrogacies, they have some sort of transfer to put the parents on the birth certificate. I’m not sure if it’s like an adoption per se but similar (have seen a lady on tiktok who has been a surrogate several times explain this but as I don’t follow her, I can’t find it). Hope I make sense. I don’t want to offend anyone with my ignorance or way of words x

I wasn't sure how it worked if Cole had more rights as Abi isn't biologically related to baby?

Although Cole is clearly not maternal, I just can’t imagine her giving up what she views as hers, at any cost.
Im sure the howat parents will fight for him aswell

I’m 50/50 on it tbh. Cole wouldn’t know how to care for him, she’d get overwhelmed

He 100% was born for clout, no doubt about it. Especially on Cole’s side of it.

Abi would have wanted him as an excuse to be at home.

I’ve no doubt they love him and wanted him, but not just for the fact of they wanted a baby.
