They were certainly clearing out a lot of cast around this time. Reading Pam St Clement's biography, the guy who played Roy was very shocked at being axed and really didn't want to leave. They are both great friends in real life though, which I always love to read

This is exactly what we were saying, so I googled and apparently bone, skin and corneas are viable up to 48hrs (everydays a school day ) I guess that's why the woman being able to see again story was mentioned. Although who's going to want Roy's old man skin and bones is anyones guess!

I remember around this time there was a huge push for organ donation and getting people to carry cards.

I think Pam was quite upset about her character being killed off and I think it was definitely the wrong decision. Pat was iconic and there was never a moment where she didn't shine.

Re Bryan Kirkwood he is not a nice person.He killed off the character Billy as soon as he took over at EE and did the same before to the actor when he was in Hollyoaks.He had such a vendetta against him.I think the actor spoke about it once but not in great detail.

He was sacked and then recast on Hollyoaks because of poor timekeeping but not nice to get sacked twice by the same person

Portugal episodes, first one was excellent, Phil loves a good car chase! Second one dragged and the cottage scenes went on far too long imo. Anywho I'm sure they had fun filming out there, Portugal looks lovely!
