Clancy & Zac Analysis
Zac hates Clancy, Clancy loves Zac. When your fiancé does not want to touch you, says no other man would want you, looks away from you when you're approaching, raises his eyebrows every time you put the camera on him, says you're annoying... he does not love you.
Zac is literally crying out to the internet to drop her this hint.
Clancy is not experienced in relationships, so she does not know that this behavior is not okay. She doesn't know the non-verbal language of men, which for most women needs to be studied the way any new language does. But Clancy is not the most curious in nature, which is why she hated being a reporter.
Clancy invented the cutesy girlfriend persona to hide that she's actually very ambitious, very aggressive, and a bit of a jock. Zac fell in love with cute Clancy, who he thought was easy going. Jock Clancy is what has made her successful. Her competitiveness naturally comes out with Zac. Competing is fun for Clancy, but not for Zac.
Zac is a young old man. He likes what he likes, and usually likes to be left alone. Clancy is always cajoling him into things she likes, even though she claims to be a weak decision maker. Not at all. That's a gaslight.
Zac also has some jealousy towards Clancy because she is more charming than him. He could not carry a YT channel on his own and since he's not a high energy person, he would prefer not to work. Which is how he sees Clancy now - not working. Zac is fairly chill low key person who would do well with another low key person, living a peaceful life of normalcy.
Zac takes Clancy's teasing personally, and gets her back in passive aggressive ways. She has called him a 'girl' and calls out very personal embarassing things about him. Clancy says 'ouch' when he takes shots at her, but exposes him by filming it so she looks like poor Clancy.
If they get married, they won't be unlike many married couples who live with underlying resentment.
